Ashley Young is one of the three players released by Everton.
The toffees have confirmed that the 39-year-old will leave at the end of the season.
On news about the upcoming exit of Young, boss David Moyes flowed over the veteran star.
The Scot, 62, said: “Since my return to the club I have seen what a great professional Ash is and know the leadership qualities that he brought to the team at Everton during his time.
“His versatility, experience and know -how have been really useful for the team and me.”
In addition to De Jonge, keepers Asmir Begovic and Joao Virginia also leave.
Moyes added: “Asmir and Joao also worked very hard and behave flawlessly.
“On behalf of everyone at the club, I would like to thank all three players for their service and we wish them the very best for the future.”
Young joined Everton on a free transfer in 2023, after he had previously turned out to be for Watford, Aston Villa, Manchester United and Inter Milan, in addition to earning 39 English caps.
The full-back is played 68 times for the cooles.

On Thursday, the Online Everton expert The Bobble claimed that the Toffees de Young had offered a new deal.
