Assassin’s Creed Jade – Everything We Know
Assassin’s Creed Jade brings the behemoth stealth series to mobile devices with the first-ever dedicated game in the series for the mobile gaming world. As a result, Jade has the honor of being one of the most unique entries in development.
There will be much to learn about why AC Jade could fall under one of the best assassin’s creed games – and that’s largely because the game is (at least for now) only available on mobile devices.
Since its appearance at a Ubisoft Live event last year, we have not received any updates regarding Assassin’s Creed JadeNow that this year’s showcase has passed and there has been no mention of the game at all, we’re left in a bit of a bleak period as to when the upcoming mobile game will finally release.
Assassin’s Creed Jade: Get straight to the point

Assassin’s Creed Jade Gameplay
Coming in late August 2023, and revealed at Gamescom 2023, we’ll have an official look and video of Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade game.
The in-game aspects shown confirm the inclusion of traditional Alternating current mechanics within the new setting. Mechanics such as climbing the side of a building and using stealth and height to your advantage when attacking seem to be pretty essential when exploring the open-world map.
With each assassin wielding a unique arsenal of weapons, Xia bolsters the formula by introducing unique Chinese spears, dual blades, and bows to combat. Players can expect a mix of both signature and exciting new combat mechanics that take advantage of the touchscreen controls of mobile devices, hopefully explored in more detail in the next overview or teaser.
Along the way, you’ll unravel dangerous plots, hone your assassination skills, and learn more about Xia to develop your own abilities. And with different landscapes highlighted in the teaser, there’s plenty of room to really get lost in it.
Additionally, in a franchise first, players will be able to customize the appearance of their assassin, Xia. The official website states that Xia will be a “fully customizable avatar” in order to further enhance immersion in the game, though whether this means you’ll be free to create an entirely new assassin under the same name, or if customization will be limited to preset faces with more freedom in terms of cosmetic items, is unclear at this time.
Assassin’s Creed Jade Story and Setting
Assassin’s Creed Jade takes us to one of the most anticipated locations for a Alternating current game: Ancient China. More specifically, in 215 BC, during the time of the first unified empire of the Quin Dynasty and China.
Andrei Chan, executive producer at Level Infinite, stated in a blog post published by Ubisoft that “This is a very exciting part of China’s history. This is the founding of, in effect, the first Chinese empire. It was also a time when the connection between China and the rest of the world was stronger than ever.”
In this setting, you take on the role of Xia, a completely new assassin to the franchise, whom you must control throughout the game. Codename Jadeyou must protect your hometown of Xionanu from marauders, while experiencing trade and cultural exchange between Eastern and Western Xianyang.
There’s a lot to learn about how exactly the story will be portrayed in the game, and the single trailer we have that captures the first look at the setting doesn’t offer much to go on. All we know is that Codename Jade takes place canonically between the events of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey And Assassin’s Creed Originsbut whether these events will actually be intertwined with the content of Codename Jade remains a mystery for now, at least until the next trailer comes out and provides a little more insight.

It’s made very clear that the content shown in the teaser trailer is in development, so there’s a good chance things will look different as development progresses. For now, the full trailer can be found below:
