A fan of Atalanta was reportedly stabbed to death in a violent collision with supporters from Inter Milan.
Italian media Claims that the collision between the two sets of fans took place on Saturday evening in Bergamo.
The groups collided in a pub in violent scenes, where the fight then walked into the street.
But the tragedy struck when a 26-year-old Atalanta fan was stabbed in the back.
Emergency services were called up and arrived quickly.
But they were unable to save the affected Atalanta fan.
The police found a knife close to the deceased.
A suspect in his late teenage years was also arrested.
And Atalanta fans paid tribute to the stabbed supporter by unraveling a banner prior to Sunday’s 4-0 win in Monza.
Neither of the club responded, with inter Milan beating Verona 1-0 yesterday.
