Australians are going crazy for new Allen’s lollipop flavoured drink that tastes just like a fan favourite
Allen’s has partnered with cult bubble tea brand Chatime to offer Australians a new range of drinks that taste ‘identical’ to the famous lollipops.
The limited-edition collection of teas (starting at $8) is inspired by Allen’s Party Mix flavors, including milk bottle, banana, pineapple, red frogs and peaches with cream.
Sasha Tyers, A Melbourne nutrition student couldn’t wait to try the bubble teas that launched on September 17 and shared her review online.
“Today we’re trying the new drink from Allen’s collaboration with Chatime, so I bought the milk drink and the regular pineapple green tea,” she said in a video.
After a few sips of the pineapple lollipop-inspired drink, Sasha’s eyes lit up with delight. She couldn’t believe how close the tea came to the taste of this iconic treat.
“That’s impossible. That tastes exactly like an Allen’s pineapple lollipop,” she said.
“It has some kind of jelly and coconut in it and the jelly tastes very much like Allen’s.”
Allen’s impressed fan gave the “delicious” pineapple green tea, which she said is also available as a black tea base, a near-perfect 9.8 out of 10.
Melbourne’s Sasha Tyers couldn’t wait to try the new Allen’s Chatime drinks and ordered the pineapple green tea and the milk bottle flavour with oat milk and tapioca pearls

Sasha was ‘super intrigued’ to try the bubble tea with tapioca pearls from a milk bottle and opted to drink hers with oat milk.
“This one is so good, it tastes like a vanilla frappe with tapioca on the bottom, it’s so good, but it doesn’t taste as much like the Allen’s lollipop as the pineapple,” she said.
She still gave the drink a solid 9.5 for taste.
Thousands of Australians were excited about the surprising new collaboration.
“I wish I lived near a Chatime because then I’d have to run instead of walk to try them,” one person said.
“The one with pineapple is so good,” added another.
The teas are available exclusively at Chatime and Nestlé’s Chief Marketing Officer Melanie Chen encouraged Australians to try them while they can.
“It’s not every day that you get to enjoy your favorite candy as a drink,” she said.
This isn’t the first time Allen’s has joined forces to offer lollipop lovers a new way to enjoy their popular flavours.
The confectionery giant previously teamed up with Dusk to launch a range of candy-inspired bath bombs, candles, room diffusers and scented oils.
Jeremy Taylor, Chief Marketing Officer of Dusk, was excited to introduce the new line.
“Our Dusk x Allen’s products are designed by our perfume experts to smell just like the real thing. They are incredibly inedible,” he said.
