Australia’s ‘most tattooed’ woman reveals crazy detail about getting her eyeballs tattooed as enthusiasts flock to Australian Tattoo Expo

Australia’s ‘most tattooed woman’ has revealed a mind-blowing detail about her body art as a number of enthusiasts and tattoo industry luminaries descend on Brisbane for the Australian Tattoo Expo.

Amber Luke, who calls herself the Blue Eyes White Dragon, was among the stars who visited the expo in Brisbane on Saturday.

At the age of 22, she had her eyes tattooed. It was a gruelling operation that left her blind for weeks.

Mrs. Luke said she recently returned from Brazil to have her eyeballs re-tattooed.

“I wanted to admit that and say, ‘You know what? I may have been blind for three weeks, but it turned out to be a great experience,'” Ms. Luke told The Apollo Show podcast host Adam Manikis earlier this month.

‘Then I saw it this way: it confused me for three weeks.

“I really wanted to completely disconnect from what it actually was,” she said in the podcast, “there were no complications and there was no pain.”

Mrs Luke explained that the process involved injecting a 1mm syringe in ‘two pinpricks’ directly into her eyeball.

“My eye is an even blue…if it’s done right, you don’t feel any pain at all,” she said.

Mrs. Luke said she experienced severe pain when her eyeballs were first tattooed.

“It was the most intense, brutal pain of my life,” she said.

“I literally felt like… 10 shards of glass had been rubbed into my eye for three weeks.”

Ms. Luke became known for her extensive body art, with 250 tattoos, in addition to multiple piercings and implants.

The Tattoo Expo has been held in various cities across Australia for 15 years and attracts around 60,000 people each year.

A spokesperson for Tattoo Expo said the event was intended to support the tattoo industry and increase community growth.

“It’s a great opportunity to get tattooed by some of the industry’s biggest names, build lasting relationships, and talk to both the pioneers and newcomers to the tattoo community,” the spokesperson said.
