Self-proclaimed “plastic surgery fanatic” Olivia, 33, has been working with Dr. Saleema for more than five years to create a more natural look.
She has appeared in many of the Loose Women panellist’s docuseries, such as Olivia Marries Her Match, and has won a number of awards.
But the lead doctor disagrees with a common aesthetic practice.

She even claims that it can lead to more wrinkles and fine lines in the long run.
Preventive Botox refers to the use of anti-wrinkle injections starting in your mid-to-late 20s or early 30s, before deep wrinkles or fine lines have fully formed.
The idea is to prevent the development of these lines and wrinkles by limiting the movement of the facial muscles that contribute to them.
Dr. However, Saleema disagrees with the idea being “pushed by the cosmetic industry.”
“Personally, I don’t believe in it,” she shared on Olivia’s podcast So Wrong It’s Right.
“Botox is so effective for most people.
“When you see your first wrinkle, that wrinkle will disappear.
“So why would you do — three to four years, five years, seven years, whatever it is before that — Botox procedures and ultimately get the same result?”
Botox works by temporarily paralyzing the muscles that cause dynamic wrinkles. These are lines on the face caused by repetitive facial expressions such as frowning, smiling or squinting.
Dr. Saleema explained: “We must remember that Botox is a medicine.
“You will eventually become immune to it.
“So you’d rather not become immune to it at age 30.”
If your body becomes resistant to Botox — the common name for anti-wrinkle injections — at a young age, it will be ineffective when it comes to actually zapping wrinkles.
How much does Botox cost?
BOTOX and anti-wrinkle injections are one of the most popular cosmetic treatments available today.
Botox injections work by weakening or paralyzing certain muscles or by blocking certain nerves.
The effects last about three to twelve months, depending on what you treat.
The NHS website estimates that each botulinum toxin injection costs £150-£350 per session.
The price varies depending on how much is used per session, they add.
Botox prices vary depending on where you go to get it done and the number of areas treated.
Some companies offer one area for around $200, and most offer packages if you want to add more areas to your treatment.
It’s worth doing your research before having the treatment – and remember that going ‘cheap’ isn’t always a good idea.
