Baffled Primark shopper wonders if there is difference in jeans length for different sizes
A PRIMARK shopper is baffled by the difference in leg length between different sizes of jeans on the high street.
Kelli went to the store to find new denims and picked up several sizes to take to the dressing room.
And while she could expect a difference in the waist size of the same pair of jeans in size 8 and size 16, it was the difference in leg length that confused her.
“I’m 6ft tall and used to be five stone heavier,” Kelli wrote her TikTok video.
“By Primark logic, when I was almost 16, I should have been about 6ft too!”
She went on to talk about the situation in the video, wondering, “Why do clothing brands think that the bigger you are, the bigger you are?”

Kelli then reached out to show the size difference, adding, “Why is a size 16 a good two to three inches longer in length?
“Why do they believe that you gain both height and weight?
“Does anyone have an answer to this?”
People were quick to comment on the video to share their suggestions, with one writing: “Exactly!!!”
“Isn’t it that frustrating!? Do I have to go size 0 to get jeans that don’t spill over the floor!?” Kelli replied.
“This! I’m also 6 feet tall and love the flared leggings and wide leg joggers, but it’s impossible to find them small and large!” said another.
“It’s like we don’t exist!”
“6ft tall and a size 18,” said a third.
“Apparently I’m supposed to have a huge belly and short legs. I must be built wrong!”
“As someone who is 18/20/22 but only 4 feet tall, it really bothers me,” someone else sighed.
“I hate this with tops, they must think we are crooked with the size of the shoulders,” said another.
“They are usually too big and don’t fit properly.”
Why is Primark the place to go for bargains?
How does Primark do it? Continue to provide trendy items at such incredible prices? According to the bosses, it is still only four points.
- They “sell a lot of items” – Thanks to that they can save by buying in bulk for their 191 UK stores
- They “do very little advertising”
- Although their clothing offers the “latest trends”, they “do not use expensive hangers, tags or labels”.
- And finally, they try “to be as efficient as possible in transporting products from factories to stores.” This includes things like asking “suppliers to pack our T-shirts so they can be placed directly on the shelves.”

However, someone else thought they had it figured out, as they wrote: “They don’t have separate patterns for the next size up.
“They just ‘blow up’ the whole pattern, like making the font bigger in a Word document.
“That’s why larger clothes have huge holes in the head that are baggy.”
The analogy was also approved by Fabulous’ fashion team, who agreed with the explanation.
