Barcelona is confronted with the threat of UEFA sanctions after violating financial rules for a second year in a row, claims reports.

It is after the Spanish giants have lost an appeal in the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on a fine of £ 420,000 imposed by UEFA for the wrong report of profit in October.

The CAS government warned at the time that the club would be confronted with “strict” punishments if they do not again comply with rules.

And according to the Times they are re -found who want to be under the UEFA rules, and the La Liga champions must now be affected by serious sanctions.

These can include a reduced limit to the number of players they can register for next season’s Champions League or even a point deduction in the competition phase.

English parties Chelsea and Aston Villa are also deemed to have violated the UEFA rules.

However, because they are first offenders, they are only made with financial fines.

Both have been talking to the UEFA’s Club Financial Control Board (CFCB) about a financial arrangement.

The administrative body of European football will confirm the sanctions to each team later this month.

Barcelona has tried a number of unorthodox ways to help them climb freely with financial downfall.

In 2022 they sold 10 percent of their broadcast income for € 267 million in the coming 25 years.

They wanted to claim this as “other business income” in the books, which would have counted on their FFP calculations.

UEFA, however, stated that it must be under “profit about removal of intangible assets” that do not count for FFP.

Barcelona then sold another 15 percent of their broadcasting rights for € 400 million.

But the CAS ruling means that it cannot be classified as an operational income, which is said to have been the ultimate cause of their last infringement.

Chelsea’s infringement comes down to the UEFA that does not count the world record of the club £ 220 million of the women’s team to a sister company in their books.

In contrast to the financial rules of Premier League that allow this.
