An Aussie man who was accused of attacking a guard during the vacation in Bali says he regrets his actions, because new details about what is said to have summoned the fight arose.
Mohamed Rifai, 27, van Sydney‘S South-West, appeared on Thursday in Denpasar District Court, where he was grilled on 11 February about the alleged attack outside of Finns Beach Club in North Kuta.
Rifai was held by the Indonesian authorities after the alleged fight between five Aussies and a maximum of 15 security items.
He is accused of attacking a guard made Bagus Yohanandita while holding his friend John Ebid.
Images of the alleged fight were shared on social media with the shirtless tourists who seem to be affecting guards.
Rifai, who denied the charges and claimed that he was acting in self -defense, gave his testimony in court on Thursday.
He remembered how he had been with a group of six, including three brothers and sisters, in the world -famous beach club, where they ‘ordered food, enjoy the swimming pool and the music’.
Rifai then followed Mr Ebid after his friend was accompanied by the security from the club.

Rifai remains in custody.
He is confronted with a maximum of five years behind bars in Indonesia if he is found guilty.

In earlier processes, six witnesses accused, including Mr Yohanandita, to attack the guard.
Finn’s head of security claimed that the tourists attacked the staff after they were asked to leave the bar.
The Bali police also accused eight guards of ‘Group Assault’ about the alleged Melee, who also stays in custody.
Four other Aussies involved in the incident were not accused of the Bali police who regarded them as ‘witnesses’ of the alleged fight.
