Beauty Fan Uses ‘BIG 3’ Trick to Transform Damaged Hair from Messy to Thick
Beauty stores offer an abundance of thermal products.
However, some of these products are not necessarily good for hair growth, especially if not used properly.
High temperatures can damage the outer layer of the hair, dulling its texture and stripping it of its natural moisture. This can leave hair dry and brittle.
That might be why #hairtips is now trending on TikTok, with over 236,600 posts showing many other beauty fans how they’ve gotten their hair in better condition.
A beauty fanatic, known as @lainsssss on TikTok, one of them is where she explains that she had to repair her “extremely damaged hair.”
She showed off her hair transformation by showing before and after photos.
In the first two photos it was clearly visible that she had short and unkempt hair, but now she has changed it to long, luscious brown hair.
The beauty fans claim they applied the ‘BIG 3’ trick and haven’t looked back since.
She started off by saying that while it’s an “obvious” tip, she no longer uses “heat” on her hair every day.
The first tip for beauty fans is to wrap a silk scarf around your hair in the evening or wear a cap.
Beauty experts have previously indicated that using a silk scarf can reduce friction on the hair, preventing tangles and breakage.
They also believe it helps retain moisture and protect the ends of your hair at night.
Silk scarves can also regulate temperature, preventing your scalp from getting too hot or too cold.
Her second tip is to make sure she doesn’t wear her hair too tight by putting it in loose buns.
The beauty fan’s third tip was to urge those who use heat on their hair to make sure they “protect” their hair.
Her two favourite products are B&B Straight Blow Dry, £28, and B&B Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil£30, both from Bumble and Bumble.
Damage from excessive heat
Fabulous previously unveiled a little-known hair growth booster that uses a popular fall food: pumpkin.
Ghanima Abdullah, a beautician at The Right Hairstyles Magazine, shared some unconventional tricks to growing longer hair without having to go to the hairdresser.
Abdullah, originally from Chicago but now living in the Dominican Republic, stressed the importance of avoiding damaging habits like pulling hair tight, chemical treatments, excessive heat, and frequent shampooing, all of which can be damaging to hair follicles.
Abdullah, on the other hand, recommended using effective products to stimulate hair growth.
“Once you stop the bad habits, you can use hair growth serums or oils at night to encourage more hair growth,” she advised.
“These can be simple oils like coconut or pumpkin seed oil, supplemented with a few drops of essential oils known to promote hair growth and maintenance, such as rosemary, black cumin, peppermint and lavender.”
Abdullah also recommended a DIY hair serum that you can make at home by mixing a few drops of essential oils with natural aloe Reallinseed gel or fenugreek gel.
“It’s unconventional”
She advised washing your hair only once a month or every other month to avoid stripping the scalp and hair of its natural oils, which are needed for “healthy, strong, long hair.”
“It’s unconventional, but try not to wash your hair,” she said.
Shampoo is corrosive to the inner core of the hair. It is alkaline, which means it lifts the hair cuticle and goes into the hair.
This can cause corrosion to the sensitive inner core, which can lead to damage or split ends.
It also damages the hair follicles, meaning that as long as you shampoo regularly, the quality of your hair will continue to decline.”
