Ugly Swan was created by two Australian moms, Marissa and Annette, who saw a gap in the market for hair brushes that didn’t cause discomfort and pulling. To help parents with the daily struggle of brushing their children’s hair, the Ugly Swan was born.
In 2017, the brand launched with their Scream-Free Brushes, which has now become one of the brand’s best-selling products, reaching over $100,000 in 2021 after Chloe Morello’s TikTok.
The Scream-Free Brushes are designed to gently detangle hair, even on the most sensitive scalp. Made with natural boar bristles that soften your natural scalp oils to condition your hair, while soft, large dipped nylon pins detangle without scratching or pulling the scalp.

The brushes are designed to prevent split ends and breakage, while also reducing frizz.
Chloe’s endorsement sparked a wave of excitement and many said they ordered the brush immediately after watching it.

“You should definitely try this,” wrote one woman.
“I bought a similar brush from Facebook and it’s great,” said a second, while a third added, “I have this and use it on my little girls, I love it!”
Chloe is considered one of Australia’s leading authorities on beauty and self-care.
