It hit stores earlier this week as the latest addition to Primark’s range of beauty dupes.

The £6 retail price is a dupe of the popular Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream.

However, this luxury purchase can cost up to £195 for a 150ml jar.

A 50ml jar costs £79, which is considerably less than the bargain price Primark charges for the same amount of product.

“Meet your new skincare hero: our PS…Pro Hydration Cream,” say Primark bosses.

“This daily essential is designed to revitalize, replenish and restore your skin, in just one step.

“The lightweight formula costs just £6 and melts effortlessly into your complexion, giving a dewy glow that can be worn alone or as a canvas under make-up.

“The best part?

“It is enriched with SPF 15, which helps protect the skin against UV rays.

“Bonus points also for the premium glass packaging.”

Primark even conducted a trial with 63 female panelists aged 20 to 45 with normal to dry skin to test the cream.

Results showed that after four weeks of use, 89% of women said their skin felt hydrated and 86% said their skin felt smoother.

A whopping 82% of women said their skin looked radiant and that the product gave a dewy glow under makeup after four weeks of use.

Primark’s social media team asked shoppers on Instagram for their thoughts on the cream.

One of them beamed: “I wear it every day under my makeup as a primer.

“It keeps your skin super radiant.”

Another review: “I use it as a hydrating mask at night at the end of my skincare routine to lock in moisture.”

Best beauty dupes

Fabulous’ beauty editor Tara Ledden revealed which budget versions of your favorite beauty products you need in your closet.

“According to new research from Elf Cosmetics, a whopping 55% of us want to spend less on our beauty routines. It’s no wonder that there are millions of #dupe videos on TikTok.

“While some counterfeit products are easily identified by their similar packaging, they often fall short when it comes to their contents.

“In fact, some of the best imitations look nothing like the luxury product they mimic. And trust me, those are the imitations you want.”

REAL: Benefit Hoola Matte Bronzer, £32.50 DUPE: Natural Collection Bronzer, £3.50, a saving of £29. The Natural Collection Bronzer is available in more shades, although there is no mirror in the compact.

REAL: Milk Makeup Hydro-Grip Primer, £35 DUPE: Elf Power Grip Primer, £10. These two have a similar green tint and the same long-lasting, mattifying properties. However, Elf’s is so popular that it’s just as hard to get hold of.

REAL: Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lipstick, £28 DUPE: L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Satin Lipstick Beige A Now, £8.99. The shades of these two lipsticks look virtually identical on the lips. The Charlotte Tilbury lipstick is matte, but the L’Oreal Paris Lipstick has a satin finish. This makes it more comfortable to wear all day.

REAL: Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation, £40 DUPE: Collection Lasting Perfection Matte Foundation, £6.99 Although they don’t look the same on the outside, the formula, consistency and longevity of both foundations are pretty much the same. Unfortunately, Collection only comes in 20 shades, while Estee Lauder has 60.

REAL: Glossier Boy Brow, £20 DUPE: Essence Make Me Brow Gel, £2.50 There’s a whole Reddit thread dedicated to this dupe, so you know it’s got to be good. They both have a waxy consistency and added fibres to make brows appear fuller. I have to say the shade range is much better with Boy Brow, but if you’re a tanner there are plenty of Essence shades to try.
