Benny Blanco has become known for the way he flows over fiancé Selena Gomez – But there are times when her fans see a different direction in his comments.

One of those moments recently happened when Benny, 37, became a member of the Podcast Hot Hits with Nic & Loren to discuss his music trip, his inspirations and working with his expectant wife.

When discussing live shows, co-hostess Nic Kelly asked Benny or he and Selena, 32, plan to do life shows for the record, referring to the joint album of the couple, I said I love you first.

Benny replied and said, “That’s my worst nightmare.”

‘Do live shows … like every time I had to do SNL Or like Amas, I am always just like: “When is it over? When is it over?” ‘

He explained further: “I just want to be at home on my couch.”

Loren Barry then suggested that Benny let Selena sing live while he just sits next to her on a couch and occasionally jumps inside to just say hello.

“To be honest, not bad ideas guys,” Benny said.

Nic then joked: “Selena and Benny on a banking tour, who came to a city near you,” who replied Benny Sarcastically: “Can’t wait.”

And thanks to Benny’s apparent restraint, the fans of the Popstar were not really happy with his attitude – even going so far to say that this was his way of ‘checking’ Selena.

‘So Benny Blanco suddenly thinks he has the power to decide what Selena does with her own music career …

“He literally said he won’t let her tour and live stage …”, a fan shared on X (formerly Twitter).

‘That man is a strange and control over the music career of Selena again …

“No wonder that Isilyf refueled because the whole thing like the Collab album was his idea,” the same user replied to another who asked what had happened.

“I have always had a bad feeling about him … Since he starts, he tries to ruin her music career so hard,” another user shared.

But others hurried to defend Benny and pointed out that his words were removed from the context.

“He literally never said that, he said he hate it, but did not even call Sel,” said an X user.

“You want to babysitizing too much … literally the man spoke for himself, nothing else,” said another user.

‘Do you think Selena is stupid enough to have people, let alone, have a man control her or her career?

“Otherwise she has proven often, it seems that we are not following the same woman.”

Although the public still has to know whether the couple will eventually tour for the new joint album, based on Benny’s comments – unless a bank is involved – it seems quite unlikely.

Dailymail.com has contacted Benny’s representatives for comment.
