While Google has been a household name for years, the company’s mobile phones have become some of the best phones available on the market. Google Pixel devices perform well against competing models from both Apple and Samsung, and they’re typically more affordable, too. But it’s still a high-end phone, which means the cost can put it out of reach for some buyers. Luckily, we’ve found plenty of ways to score a Pixel phone at a decent price.

Google recently announced the new Pixel 9, coming next week, which can sometimes trigger lower prices on older models such as the 2023 Pixel 8 Pro or the versatile Pixel Fold. There are plenty of earlier models we’re fans of that are less expensive too, as the Pixel 7A or the previous-gen Pixel 6A, so you don’t have to spend a lot of money to get a great phone. We’ve laid out the top deals below. However, if you see a deal you want to take advantage of, be quick about it. Phone carriers and other retailers offering discounts on phones and accessories can change these prices at their discretion and without notice.

Hey, did you know? CNET Deals texts are free, easy and save you money.

Not sure what the right model is for you? We’ve diligently compared and contrasted the Pixel 8 and its previous-generation counterpart, with a full breakdown of their specs and performance.

Pixel 8 and 8 Pro deals

Released in late 2023, the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro are the latest phones in Google’s flagship lineup until next week’s release of the Pixel 9. They’re equipped with a next-gen Tensor G3 processor, new AI features and improved screens. You have a few ways to buy one for less right now.

There are no current discounts on Pixel 8 or Pixel 8 Pro phones at this time. Right now, you can get up to $700 back in monthly bill credits if you switch to Google Fi. With this discount, you might be able to pick up a phone for free or close to it. Google also has a trade-in program, if you prefer an unlocked phone.

Note: The 256GB and 512GB models of the Pixel 8 Pro are out of stock right now.

AT&T is offering savings on Pixel phones purchased on an installment plan. Score the Google Pixel 8 Pro for $0 a month by trading in an eligible device with a trade-in value of up to $1,040. You must also switch to an eligible unlimited data plan.

The Pixel 8 128GB will cost you $11 a month, but you can get savings of up to $444 in the form of bill credits over 36 months, with no trade-in required. The Pixel 8 256GB will get you a credit of $504 and still costs $11 a month.

Verizon currently has no direct discounts on Pixel 8 or Pixel 8 Pro phones themselves. However, you can get free two-day shipping when you open a new line. Additionally, the carrier is waiving activation fees for customers who open new Verizon lines.

Currently, all Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro phones are out of stock, but they’ll likely be available again soon.

T-Mobile customers on a Go5G Plus or Go5G Next plan can get a free Pixel 8 with an eligible trade-in or a new line of service. Adding a new line with other qualifying service plans such as Go5G, Magenta,or ONE can also get you the Pixel 8 for free with a $35 activation fee. Or if you opt for one of these plans and have a trade in, you can get up to $500 in bill credits.

The savings are given in bill credits spread out over 24 months. At present, T Mobile is not carrying the Pixel 8 Pro.

Right now, an unlocked Pixel 8 is $200 off and the Pixel 8 Pro is $300 off. That makes the Pixel 8 just $499 and the 8 Pro $699. If you have a phone to trade in, you can get up to $325 trade-in credit. You also get three months of Google One (100GB storage) with either Pixel phone.

Some Best Buy locations have open-box versions of either phone. This option can also help you maximize savings.

Mint Mobile is currently offering the Pixel 8 for $180 off, bringing the price down to $609. The Pixel 8 Pro is a staggering $440 off, bringing the total down to just $649. For either of these phones, you’ll get six months of free wireless when you sign up for a six-month plan or longer.

Target is currently offering the Pixel 8 for $549, a $150 discount and the Pixel 8 Pro is $749, a $250 savings. Target Circle members and Target Circle Card* holders can save an extra 5%.

Currently Amazon is offering the Pixel 8 for $499, a nice $200 savings. The Pixel 8 Pro is as low as $699, a $300 discount, but not every color offers this big of a discount.

Pixel 8A deals

The Pixel 8A is new — we just reviewed it in May this year — and at its unlocked list price of $500, it’s a tremendous value. Let’s see if we can make it even better.

Google/CNET

AT&T is now offering new and existing customers the Google Pixel 8A for just $3 per month or for a one-time payment of $520. AT&T is also offering $100 off a pair of Ray-Ban Meta glasses with a qualifying plan when you buy a Pixel 8A.

Google is offering the Pixel 8A for only $449 right now, which is $50 of its regular asking price. That nets you the 128GB model for free when you switch to Google Fi. The $449 discount is available in the form of bill credits over a period of 24 months.

You can get an unlocked Pixel 8A for $399, a straightforward $100 savings that applies to all color variants.

If you purchase the Google Pixel 8A and add or switch to the Unlimited Welcome, Unlimited Plus or Unlimited Ultimate plans, you can get $370 in promo credit. This nets you the phone for $180, which you pay in $5/month installments. Note that Verizon’s base price for this phone is $550.

Right now T-Mobile is offering the Pixel 8A for free if you add a new line, no trade-in required. If you do have a phone to trade, as long as you have the Go5G, Magenta, or ONE rate plan you can get up to $500 in trade-in credit via bill credits over 24 months. There is a one time $35 device connection charge. Naturally, the newer model phones will get you the highest trade-in credit.

Right now Mint Mobile has the Google Pixel 8A on sale for $100 off. Plus, when you purchase one year of wireless, you’ll get half of that for free. You will only be able to nab the obsidian 128GB variant.

You can get an $100 off when you bring in a qualifying device to trade in and purchase and activate the Pixel 8A through Spectrum. You may also qualify for more savings in the form of trade in credit, depending on the device you decide to swap.

If you opt to purchase the Pixel 8A at Target, you can get a straight $50 discount, as long as you purchase it online, bringing the price down to $450. Target Circle card members can also save an additional 5%.

Right now you can grab the Pixel 8A for 20% off. That means you pay $399 instead of $499, a nice little $100 savings. All color variants are in stock and this discount is available for all except for the green, which is currently only 10% off. Stock fluctuates on Amazon, though, so if you see what you want, get it before it’s gone.

Pixel 7 and 7 Pro deals

The previous-gen Pixel 7 and 7 Pro hit shelves in October 2022, and you’ll find them in stock and available at most major retailers and carriers. Whether you’re looking for an unlocked model, have an older device to trade in or need a new service plan through a carrier, several offers are available to you.

There are no direct discounts on the Google Pixel 7 or 7 Pro through Google right now, but you can trade in your old phone from Google, Apple, Samsung and other brands for up to $450 off (with the latest iPhones netting you the biggest discount).

Although Verizon is no longer carrying the Pixel 7 Pro, the Pixel 7 is still available. Though there are no direct discounts, Verizon occasionally offers perks to go along with new phone purchases. These deals fluctuate so check back often. For now, new and existing customers can get 0% APR on a new Pixel 7. The carrier is also offering free two-day shipping when you open a new line.

Mint is still carrying both the 7 and 7 Pro and if you buy six months of service you get six months for free. Both phones are in stock but available only in a locked model.

Pixel 7A deals

Richard Peterson/CNET

CNET’s Lisa Eadicicco reviewed the budget-friendly Pixel 7A and found it has many of the same features as the Pixel 7, saying that “it has the same Tensor G2 processor as the Pixel 7, a new 64-megapixel main camera and a 6.1-inch screen just like its predecessor.” It’s available at a lower base price than the other models in the Pixel 7 lineup, but unless you can find it for significantly less than the 8A (or a great deal with your carrier), go for the newer phone.

Best Buy isn’t offering any discounts on the Pixel 7A right now, but you can trade in a device to save a good amount off the standard price. Though technically you can save up to $755, with iPhones netting you the most back, your trade-in amount can’t exceed the value of the Pixel 7A, so you’ll have to see how much your trade-in would be worth. You can also save if you buy open-box phones, but availability varies by location. You can save an extra $100 when you connect with a carrier via Best Buy.

The purchase comes with three free months of Google One and three free months of YouTube Premium (for new subscribers).

AT&T doesn’t have a discount on the Pixel 7A right now, but you can potentially get trade-in credit. AT&T is also offering $100 a pair of Ray Ban Meta glasses with a qualifying line.

You can trade in a qualifying device and get an instant savings of $100 if you purchase and activate a new 7A.

Pixel Fold deals

Samsung’s new generation of Z-series foldable phones has some competition from Google. The Pixel Fold is Google’s very first foldable device and features a 5.8-inch cover screen, a 7.6-inch OLED internal screen, 12GB of RAM, a Tensor G2 processor and an intimidating $1,799 starting price, although you can get your hands on one for less with the trade-in offers below.

Right now Best Buy has possibly the biggest deal out there. Save a whopping $550 on an unlocked Pixel Fold (obsidian, 256GB), which brings the price down to $1,249. We’re not sure how long this deal will last so if you’ve got your heart set on a foldable, don’t wait.

Google isn’t offering discounts on the Pixel Fold right now. However, you can save up to $435 with trade-in credit for an eligible device.

AT&T is offering up to $1,040 in bill credits with a trade-in, the purchase of the new phone and a qualifying plan. You can also save $100 on a pair of Ray-Ban Meta glasses when you purchase a qualifying plan for this device or get a promotional card worth the value of your trade-in.

New and existing Verizon customers can save on the Pixel Fold right now. If you’re adding a new line of service and you have an eligible trade-in, you can save up to $800. If you’re already a Verizon customer who qualifies for an upgrade, you can save up to $800 when you trade in an eligible device. If you open up a new qualifying line, you could get $899 off.

Verizon is also offering NFL Sunday Ticket from YouTube with a new line. Note: The phone is out of stock right now, so these deals will be available once the gadgets are back in stock.

Get an instant savings of $100 when you get the Pixel Fold, activate it and trade in a qualifying device.

Similar to Best Buy’s big price cut, Target is offering the unlocked Pixel Fold (obsidian, 256GB) for $1,299. This is for online purchases only though you can always purchase online and pick up in store.

Pixel 6A deals

Lisa Eadicicco/CNET

CNET’s Lisa Eadicicco originally called Google’s affordable Pixel 6A the “best Android phone under $500.” It’s slightly smaller than the Pixel 7, with a 6.1-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 60Hz. It’s equipped with 128GB of storage and 6GB of RAM, plus 5G capabilities and support for Wi-Fi 6 for fast browsing. After the release of the Pixel 7A, Google dropped the starting price by $100, so it was already a solid value at $349.

Right now, after the release of the Pixel 8A, discounts are few and far between, and the phone is largely out of stock. Still, we’ve collected the best deals we can find below.

Verizon is currently offering the Google Pixel 6A for the standard retail price of $400, though it’ll waive the activation fee of $35 with a new qualifying line.

Though there are no straightforward discounts at Best Buy right now on the Pixel 6A, you can always try for some trade-in credit through Best Buy’s trade-in program. Plus you’ll get three months free of Google One and YouTube Premium with your purchase.

Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro deals

The Pixel 6 is almost 3 years old, so new models are scarcer than before. If you’re committed to snagging one of these older flagship phones, know that Google no longer carries the Pixel 6, and most retailers and carriers have shifted their offers over to the newer Pixel 7 or Pixel 8 models, so deals are limited.

The 6 and 6 Pro are only sporadically available at Verizon, and there are currently no straightforward discounts. However, Verizon is offering free 2-day shipping or express in-store pickup with purchase.

The 6 Pro is out of stock right now and only available by express pickup.
