At CNET, we’ve spent hundreds of hours testing mattresses. We know which beds shine and which ones fall flat. With so much to test and so few spots on our list, we can’t showcase every quality mattress for combination sleepers. We wanted to give a few more beds the honorable mentions they deserve.
Leesa Studio Chill: The Leesa Studio Chill Hybrid mattress is a significant step up from the Original Leesa mattress. The cover is cool to the touch and uses pocket springs as a base. The bed has a neutral shape and is a flat medium. I enjoy the cooling feel of this mattress, but I find the Brooklyn Bedding Aurora to be a better option for people who get hot easily.
Allswell Luxe: The Allswell brand is known for its affordable mattresses, and the Allswell Luxe is no exception. This hybrid mattress costs less than $400 in a queen size, and a twin costs just under $290. Despite its low price, the Luxe feels like other mattresses on this list. It’s about medium-firm, and it has a springy feel. The bed uses memory foam and coils to support and relieve pressure points.
