The Pixel 9 range comes equipped with Google’s Tensor G4 processor and Android 14, though Android 15 is reportedly arriving soon. As for the other specs, the premium Google Pixel 9 Pro XL has a 6.8-inch OLED display, a 5,060mAh battery and is available with either 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of storage, along with 16GB of RAM. If you’re looking at the base model instead, you’ll get a 6.3-inch OLED display and a 4,700mAh battery, as well as 12GB of RAM and the choice of either 128GB or 256GB of storage.

How much does the Pixel 9 series cost?
Pricing for the new models varies, with the base Pixel 9 costing $799, the Pixel 9 Pro costing $999 and the premium Pixel 9 Pro XL costing $1,099. There’s also a newly redesigned Pixel 9 Pro Fold that’s available to pre-order if you prefer a foldable model.

We’ve rounded up the best ones below. Right now, you can get $100 in Google Store credit if you buy the Pixel 9 directly from Google, or $200 if you buy the Pixel 9 Pro or Pro XL. If you opt for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, you’ll get a whopping $350 in Google Store credit. (You’ll need a Google Pay profile to receive the credit.) And if you don’t mind parting with your current phone, you can also get up to $760 in trade-in credit toward eligible devices.
Another perk you’ll get if you pre-order your new Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, or Pixel 9 Pro Fold is one free year of Gemini Advanced, valued at $240. You’ll also get one year of Google One AI Premium, six months of Fitbit Premium, and three months of YouTube Premium when you purchase the Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, or Pixel 9 Pro Fold. If you opt for the base Pixel 9, you’ll still get six months of Google One Premium (2TB) and Fitbit Premium, as well as three months of YouTube Premium.
If you sign up for Google Fi Wireless, you could get an extra $500 back on your new Pixel phone, which you’ll receive in the form of 24 monthly credits.

For those who go for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, you’ll get a free $350 gift card with your purchase. You’ll also get three months of Google One 100GB storage if you’re a new subscriber.
And if you’re willing to part with an older handset, you can save up to $1,099 off the trade-in price through Best Buy’s trade-in program. Most phones fetch significantly less, though, so check your specific model to get a better idea of how much of a discount you can expect.
Amazon is offering a $100 gift card with pre-orders of the Pixel 9 or a $200 gift card with pre-orders of the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL, while supplies last.
There’s also an option for a $350 gift card with the purchase of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, but it’s currently unavailable. We’ll keep an eye out for if and when the retailer brings this offer back online.
Right now at Target, you can get a $100 gift card when you purchase the base Google Pixel 9 or a $200 gift card when you purchase a Google Pixel 9 Pro XL. You can also grab the Pixel 9 Pro and the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is coming soon , but those two models don’t come with a bonus gift card.

Best Pixel 9 Deals with a Carrier
Through August 21, you can get double the storage on the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL when you preorder with AT&T. You can also get the 9 Pro or 9 Pro XL for free with a trade-in of a qualifying Pixel phone. AT&T will accept Pixel phones from any year, in any condition.
You can get double the storage for free at Verizon when you pre-order the Pixel 9 or Pixel 9 Pro XL. And right now, you can also get up to $900 back on a new Pixel 9 series phone at Verizon with a qualifying trade-in and a new line. That essentially scores you the base Pixel 9 for free. As for trade-in credit eligibility, Verizon will accept phones in any condition, but you must be on the Unlimited Ultimate plan.
No phone to trade in? No problem. You can save $620 on the Pixel 9, $640 on the Pixel 9 Pro, and $660 on the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL with the new line, with no trade-in required.
You can get up to $1,000 off a new line on the Go5G Plus or Go5G Next plans, or score the same deal when you trade in an eligible device on the same plans, scoring you the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, or Pixel 9 Pro XL for free. Other offers include saving up to $600 off other eligible plans or up to $500 in trade-in credit when you trade in an eligible device on a GoG5, Magenta, or ONE plan.
