Best Tablet Deals
The 2022 iPad topped our roundup of the best tablets because it’s both affordable and feature-packed. It’s also a little more affordable right now, with a $50 price cut on Amazon. The 64GB version is down to $300, but if you want to bump up the storage to 256GB, you can save $50 on that variant as well.
Cheap and cheerful, this Lenovo tablet is a decent budget option that’s on sale at Best Buy. It comes in a storm gray color with 64GB of storage and an 11-inch display with a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels. There’s also a 128GB option that’s currently on sale for just $10 more.
The Tab S6 Lite is a great mid-range tablet with a bit more power under the hood. It also has a 2000×1200 resolution 10.4-inch display. There’s a larger 128GB of storage compared to other budget-friendly Samsung tablets, but if you want to go down to just 64GB you can get that for $210, for a discount of $120.
The 2021 entry-level 10.2-inch iPad should be your starting point for any tablet shopping. This model lacks USB-C and retains the old-school home button, but it is compatible with the Apple Pencil stylus (sold separately). The basic iPad remains a great option for kids, families, or anyone who wants a top-class touchscreen and full App Store and service support from Apple. Read our review of the 9th-gen iPad.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE is part of the latest Galaxy tablet range, and while it’s not quite as powerful as the Ultra or Plus, it’s a fair bit cheaper. It measures 10.9 inches, has a 2304×1440 display and a powerful Exynos 1380 processor that should be able to handle most things you throw at it.
The fifth-generation iPad Air features Apple’s M1 chip, found in the company’s iPad Pros, along with 5G and a wide-angle front-facing camera with Center Stage autofocusing video capability. CNET’s iPad expert Scott Stein still recommends the less expensive 10.2-inch iPad for most people, but sees this iPad Air as a solid step up. Read our iPad Air 2022 review.
Our review team named the Google Pixel Tablet “the best Android tablet for families” in part because it’s versatile. It has a speaker, a docking station, and can function as a smart home hub or be removed from the hub and used as a tablet with an 11-inch display.
For something a little more midrange that feels a little more like a computer, our team loved the OnePlus Pad. It also normally retails for under $500, making it more affordable than some of the more expensive Android tablets. Right now, Amazon is shaving another $80 off that.
While the savings aren’t huge on the smallest iPads, the $30 discount can’t hurt if you’ve got your heart set on this slim, light option that’s compatible with the Pencil 2.
