Beyoncé is set to make a U-turn after years of political caution by publicly endorsing Kamala Harris for president, according to sources close to the superstar.
The multi-Grammy The 42-year-old winner has already given the vice president permission to use her songs in her presidential campaign, but she’s taking it a step further by donating to Harris and expressing her support, saying she believes the “interest is too great” for her to keep quiet.
“Beyoncé has cleared her schedule to attend a Kamala Harris fundraiser,” an insider claimed to DailyMail.com.
The source said the singer took a conscious step back from politics after co-hosting a fundraiser for Barack Obama with her husband Jay-Z in 2012.

The source added that Beyoncé and Harris first met when Obama was campaigning in 2008, “but became good friends” during Joe Biden’s election. However, the pair have never been seen together in public until now.

“She feels the stakes are too high and believes in Kamala’s vision for America,” the insider said, adding that the singer even plans to donate money to the campaign.
The source explains: “She has set aside $4 million to donate to the campaign, with plans to donate more if she feels the need.”

So far, Harris has received public support from a number of famous names, including Cardi B, Jamie Lee Curtis, John Legend, Cher, Barbra Streisand, Katy Perry, Spike Lee, Questlove and Demi Lovato.
