Late Friday, the White House announced new appointments to replace the seven outgoing members, as well as the board for International Food and Agricultural Development. Former New York City homicide attorney who became Emmy-award nominated TV host Star Jones was named committee chairman. Others named to the board of directors include William H. Shaheen, husband of New Hampshire Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D), and Nancy K. Kaufman, former CEO of the National Council of Jewish Women.
