It is rumored that Reggie Bird will appear in the new season of Big Brother in 2022.

But according to New Idea, Channel Seven hasn’t spent the big bucks on Reggie’s grand return to screens.

The 46-year-old, who won Big Brother Australia in 2003, is reportedly getting “peanuts” in the form of $170 a day, rather than a fixed amount upfront.

This is a huge comparison to what some celebrities were paid to appear on shows like SAS Australia – with Sam Burgess speculating that he had brought in between $150,000 and $200,000 to appear on the challenge show.

The source also claimed that Reggie was given two days to participate in the series, with an insider adding, “Looks like she’s been fooled.

“Her return to the Big Brother house was meant to herald better times – I hope she wins again!”

A Channel Seven representative declined to comment when approached by Daily Mail Australia.,

Of course, if Reggie won the 2022 series, she could win the $250,000 top prize.

In the upcoming season, many memorable housemates from the past 20 years will be pitted against 12 new faces, with filming kicking off on October 12 in Sydney.

According to gossip site The Wash, Trevor Butler, who won in 2004, as well as fan favorites David Graham (2006), Estelle Landy (2012) and Layla Subritzky (2012) would enter the house.
