BJP MP Kangana Ranaut asks visitors to bring Aadhaar card to meet her; Congress responds | India News – Times of India


NEW DELHI: BJP MP of Himachal Pradesh Mandi Actress Kangana Ranaut, a Lok Sabha constituency candidate, on Thursday made a special appeal saying that if people from the constituency want to meet her, they should bring their Aadhar cards.
The ‘Queen’ actor said that a lot of tourists and outsiders visit her office, causing her to implement the rule.
“Himachal Pradesh attracts a lot of tourists, so it is necessary to have a Aadhaar card “Your work related to the constituency should also be mentioned in the letter so that you do not face any inconvenience,” Ranaut said while talking to reporters in Mandi.
“There are so many tourists coming that ordinary people face a lot of inconvenience,” she said.
Congress attacks Kangana
Kangana Ranaut’s diktat has sparked a political war of words in Himachal. Congress leader Vikramaditya Singhwho lost to Kangana in the Lok Sabha elections, criticised the BJP leader and said, “We are representatives of the people. So it is our responsibility to meet people from all parts of the state.”
“Whether it is a small task, a big task, a policy issue or a personal work, it does not require an identity. When someone comes to a representative, he comes for some work,” he added.
The Congress leader also said that if people want to meet him, they “need not carry an Aadhaar card”.
