BJP veteran LK Advani admitted to hospital, in stable condition
NEW DELHI: Veteran BJP leader and former deputy prime minister LK Advani was admitted on Saturday Apollo Hospital in Delhi, sources told news agency PTI. The 97-year-old leader remains under observation and hospital authorities have confirmed that his condition is “stable”, the report said.
Advani is being treated under Dr Vinit Suria senior consultant in the neurology department. He was taken to hospital two days ago, although the reason for his latest hospitalization has not been disclosed.
This is not the first time that the BJP stalwart has been admitted to Apollo Hospital this year. In August, Advani was admitted to hospital for routine follow-up tests and examinations. At that time, the hospital issued a statement confirming that his condition was stable, and he was discharged shortly afterwards.
He was also observed at the same hospital in July and discharged after a short stay. Earlier this year, Advani was admitted to AIIMS, where he was released after overnight observation.
