Black Ops 6 Double XP Weekend and Free Trial now live
Ho, ho, ho — Christmas comes early in Black Ops 6. The next surprise on the CODMAS event list: developer Treyarch has announced a new double XP weekend that will run from Friday December 13 to Monday December 16.
Anyone playing Black Ops 6 will get universal double player XP, double weapon XP, and double Gobblegum earn rate to their account during the event. This is also the first Black Ops 6 Double XP Weekend with double Battle Pass XP, allowing players to gain some extra levels as we play through the last half of Season 1.
The final double XP weekend has already started in Black Ops 6, which means… you’ll earn double XP in every multiplayer match or Zombies game you play now.
The Gobblegum Mania and Merry Mayhem events are also still running as part of the Black Ops 6 Season 1 content cycle, so players can take advantage of the double XP weekend to level up the new Maelstrom shotgun or play some of the new Power Keg. and Time Out Gobblegums in zombie game mode.

When does the Double XP Weekend start in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6?
During the event, players will benefit from double player and weapon XP and a double Gobblegum drop rate.
This double XP weekend is scheduled to begin Friday, December 13 at 1:00 PM ET.
Not sure when the double XP weekend will go live for you? This is the time the weekend event started in your time zone:

- PT: December 13 at 10am
It’s worth starting your game before your gaming session if possible – as with any Black Ops 6 patch, the update will require you to download new content and restart the application.
Even though this patch only adds double XP, it’s still worth preparing your game before playing. A much bigger upcoming patch will include a festive version of Liberty Falls in the Jingle Hells event mode starting on Tuesday, December 17.
When does the Double XP Weekend end in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6?
The double XP weekend lasts four days, ends on Monday December 16th. Your double XP tokens will be unlocked again after this time.

Will Call of Duty Warzone have double XP this weekend?
Warzone players can also earn Double Player XP and Double Weapon XP during the event.
Call of Duty Warzone is having a double XP weekend this weekend alongside Black Ops 6. That means Warzone players can also take advantage of the double player XP and double weapon XP between now and Monday, December 16.
New players have the chance to level up the weapons they unlock from the new and improved Warzone Armory, and returning players can continue to unlock new attachments for the range of Black Ops 6 weapons added to Warzone.
Free trial week for Black Ops 6 multiplayer
The new Black Ops 6 multiplayer free trial lasts one week, but limits players to certain core game modes.
In addition to the double XP weekend, Treyarch is opening the floodgates to new players with a one-week free trial of Black Ops 6’s multiplayer and zombie modes. This free trial does not require PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass subscriptions.
The free trial includes the multiplayer modes Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, Domination, Kill Confirmed and Kill Order, the Prop Hunt game mode and the zombie maps Liberty Falls and Terminus.
While the Double XP weekend ends on Monday, December 16, the Black Ops 6 free trial continues until Friday, December 20 – meaning everyone can access Black Ops 6 multiplayer and zombies for a week for free.
