Black Ops 6 Season 1 maps revealed for multiplayer

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 fans have even more to dive into in the coming weeks, with three new multiplayer maps as part of Season 1. Activision rose to the challenge official Call of Duty account on X featuring a preview of the upcoming maps, with a short clip that gives a taste of what’s to come and announces the game’s very first season.

Black Ops 6 players already saw some new additions to the game’s current multiplayer options this weekend with the return of the classic Nuketown map, originally seen in Call of Duty: Black Ops, and the new Infected game mode. Now, Black Ops 6 owners on all platforms can look forward to brand new content to complete their multiplayer matches.

Three new Black Ops 6 maps are coming with Season 1. The core multiplayer maps Hideout and Extraction, as well as the Strike map Heirloom, will be added to the first-person shooter when Season 1 goes live from November 14. It’s unclear if all three will debut at the same time or if players will be fed in a trickle over time. Core multiplayer maps can be used in any game mode, and both Hideout and Extraction offer 6v6 battles. Heirloom is built for 2v2 matches, specifically Gunfight, but can also be used as a typical 6v6 map.

Shelter

While there are few details about each map so far, we can guess that Hideout appears to be located on some sort of military base, with huge tent barracks in the center of the map. During the flight you will come across various nooks and crannies, with abandoned vehicles and sparse areas where you can hide if you want to wait for your enemies.

Extraction

The extraction takes place in a picturesque hangar, surrounded by sparkling coastal waters, palm trees and a helipad to the side. There seems to be a huge enclosure, as well as buses, helicopters and crashing waves to explore, but you don’t want to get caught up in admiring the scenery.

Heirloom

Heirloom takes place in a large museum-like space with various exotic (and probably priceless) items. It seems to be perfect for close-quarters combat and firefights, making it an excellent option for the intimate setting of a 2v2 gunfight.

All three new Black Ops 6 multiplayer maps cost nothing. You get all three for free, regardless of whether you play the latest Call of Duty via Xbox Game Pass or whether you’ve purchased a copy.

However, a Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Battle Pass will debut separately from the maps you can also purchase. It costs 1,100 COD points, or about $10, which gets you weapon blueprints, charms, emblems, skins, and other unlockable goodies. However, the cards are not part of the battle pass.

Additional maps released during Black Ops 6’s life cycle will also be free.
