Black Ops 6 Season 1 release date and what to expect
The BlackOps6 The release date of Season 1 is just around the corner as the game is now available to all players. In the coming weeks, players will be treated to a new Battle Pass to work through, changes to Warzone, and new content for multiplayer. Unfortunately, Activision hasn’t announced details about season one yet, but has confirmed the launch date.
If you didn’t already know: new Call of duty games these days usually launch in some sort of pre-season state. This gives players a chance to dive into the game, level up weapons and get to grips with the map selection before any new content is added. As such, there is currently no Battle Pass, but that will change. Even without the content from season one, we’re having a lot of fun with it BlackOps6and it certainly seems to be a contender for our list of the best FPS games to play in 2024.
While we are close to the BlackOps6 Season 1 release date, we’ll likely hear more about what will be added and the exact timing. For now, here’s everything we know so far, including a look at when season one will release.
Black Ops 6 Season 1 Release Date
The BlackOps6 The release date of season 1 is November 14, 2024. This was announced by Activision and confirmed the rumored date. Check it out in the tweet below:

Black Ops 6 season one: what’s being added?
While Activision hasn’t fully fleshed out the first season yet, we do have some information about what will be added. According to this COD blog postthere will be “all-new Multiplayer maps and modes, a terrifying new Zombies map for the season, as well as the introduction of Omnimovement and Black Ops 6 weapons and Loadout features in Call of Duty: Warzone.” For the time being we have three new cards: Hideout (6v6), Extraction (6v6) and Heirloom (6v6, 2v2). You can see a sneak peek of these all-new cards below:

Black Ops 6 Season 1 – what we’d like to see
While we wait to hear exactly what Black Ops 6 season one has in store, we’ll think about what we’d like to see added to the game. Of course there will be a Battle Pass, but new content is also more difficult to predict. Given that BlackOps6 just launched, and considering it features all new cards, some familiar cards could be a welcome addition alongside season one. We’d like to see the team pull specifically from older Black Ops games like Summit, as well as some of the best offerings from last year’s remastered games. Modern Warfare 2 cards like Rust.
There are still plenty of weapons to work on BlackOps6so new weapons in season one aren’t exactly at the top of our wish list. Instead, it would be good to see more balancing patches, especially regarding the currently essential Gunfighter Wildcard. It should become clear in the coming weeks which weapons are contained BlackOps6 need nerfs, and need that buff. But for now, the current range of weapons feels surprisingly balanced, with everything from SMGs to Marksman rifles feeling genuinely viable.
