Blake Lively is ‘effortlessly abusive’ and has taken down her ‘woke feminist’, It Ends With Us director Justin Baldoni claims an insider, in a revealing account of the on-set turmoil

An insider is sharing behind-the-scenes details about what sparked the on-set drama between Blake Lively and her co-star and director Justin Baldoni during the filming of ‘It Ends With Us.’

Rumors of trouble surrounding the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s best-selling novel have been swirling since the film’s New York premiere on August 6, when Baldoni failed to pose for a photo with his castmates.

But now an insider tells DailyMail.com exclusively what they saw of Lively on set during filming. According to him, ‘everyone was a little bit scared of Blake’. Baldoni, meanwhile, was mocked as a ‘woke and performative feminist’.

Lively “wasn’t mean — she was just so effortlessly rude,” the source said.

There was “no overt arguing or fighting,” but the 36-year-old actress was “so extremely opinionated” and “had such strong opinions about things” that it caused a lot of stress and tension on set.

Rumors of drama arose when Justin Baldoni, who directed, produced and starred in the film with Lively, failed to pose for a photo with his fellow cast members at the film’s New York premiere on August 6.

According to the source, there was always tension on set when Lively was there, as she had no problem with the crew “waiting for her.”

“You could definitely tell that everyone was a little scared of Blake,” the insider said.

‘I got the impression from Justin that he was just really stressed and fatigued by his continued inability to control the project that he was making… so much so that if you asked him questions he was like, “Just ask Blake”… because once Blake was there, she had a lot of strong thoughts and feelings.’

On the first day back to filming, after production had been halted for nine months by the writers’ strike, the workers on set were desperate. They were drawing on their pension funds, losing their homes, and so on.

The insider found it “incomprehensible” that Lively would bring her children to the set that day so they could set up a booth to raise money for “sick children and horses” when the crew itself was struggling.

“There’s nothing wrong with your kids being involved in your work, or your kids being interested in activism… but it’s hard not to find it offensive and preachy.”

“She and Justin are incredibly similar in the sense that they're just very special little snowflakes with a shocking amount of privilege and a shocking amount of self-awareness,” a source inside the organization said.

“She’s clearly a champion of the beautiful blondes in the world,” the source claims.

The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Lively, but they declined to comment for this article.

Lively faced further criticism from fans after she promoted her brands Betty Booze and Betty Buzz, along with her new haircare brand Blake Brown, while simultaneously advertising ‘It Ends With Us’.

Some fans were shocked that the ‘Gossip Girl’ actress, who is married to ‘Deadpool’ star Ryan Reynolds, chose to promote her own brands alongside a film that deals with a serious topic like domestic abuse.

Since then, many people have returned their newly purchased hair care products to Target stores due to the scandal.

“This is a trauma and this was an opportunity to provide resources to a very underrepresented class that has no voice and instead sells shampoo,” the source within the organization said.

On the flip side of the feud rumors… the source claims Baldoni, 40, was just as difficult to deal with on set.

‘Justin looks a lot like her [Lively] “He has to be the smartest person in the room,” the insider revealed.

He reportedly suffered from a stye on his eyelid during most of the filming, and to prevent this, the camera crews had to block the shots again.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if the bulk of the visual effects budget goes to editing,” the source said.
