Blind Date’s ‘Our Graham’ dies aged 90: Iconic voiceover artist Graham Skidmore repeated hundreds of hopeful answers for Cilla Black during the ITV show’s 17-year run

Graham Skidmore, known as Blind Date’s iconic voiceover artists, has passed away

TV legend Graham Skidmore, known as the iconic voice-over of Blind Date, has died aged 90.

Running from 1985 to 2002, Blind Date featured Skidmore as a regular feature where he summarized hundreds of responses from potential candidates and was known as “Our Graham” on the show.

He left the ITV hit show after a 17-year run.

Skidmore was also a voice-over artist on BBc2’s Shooting Stars with Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer.

“He may not have wanted to be seen on screen, but he had the voice of a celebrity — a familiar voice,” his son Neil, 54, said. The sun

“He loved it. I host events and had a show in London and let Dad do the voice over. People recognized him right away.’

Skidmore, who suffered from vascular dementia, spent his last years in Kent.

His daughter Catherine Johnson, 52, said Graham had wanted to become a doctor but missed his final exams due to an ear infection, which led to a career in television as a voiceover.
