B&M sells Grinch Squishmallows and shoppers ‘need’ them as stocking stuffers

THE Grinch may have stolen Christmas, but he shows up everywhere once December rolls around each year.

If you have fans of the Christmas-hating character in your home, you might want to stop by B&M, which is selling themed Squishmallows for the holidays.

For just £18.99 you can buy a 10 inch cuddly toy in the shape of the Dr. Seuss icon.

The B&M website says: “Four the holiday season with this 10-inch Grinch Squishmallows plush!

“Squishmallows are made from ultra-soft, high-quality materials and make the perfect cuddly companion for long flights, comfortable nights at home or your Dr. Seuss movie marathons!

“Look for other holiday-inspired Squishmallows plushies and bring home some happiness today.”

The deal was posted on the Facebook group Extreme Coupons and Bargains UKwhere a customer had seen a basket full of toys.

And it seemed like that’s what a lot of fellow Grinch fans wanted get it one for itself, or to use as a stocking stuffer.

One commented: “ohhhh need one.”

A second wrote: “How cute!”

And a third commented: “Someone please buy me one.”

It’s not just B&M that has jumped on the Grinch hype this year.

She even predicted that the purchase would “tip him over the edge” as he struggled with the stress of his purchase Christmas and live in a new house.

“I actually think it’ll be bigger than the house,” Lauren said, before putting the bouncy castle in the yard.

Primark Grinch Cafes

Primark has also launched a number of new party cafes themed around the much-loved character.

The retailer has collaborated with Dr. Seuss to create a Grinch’s green lair with a limited-edition menu at six. Primark cafe locations across the UK.

Primark’s Grinch Cafés are sure to be a hit with fans of the furry character, offering everything from green waffles and shakes to get into the anti-Christmas spirit.

There are also festive toasties and hot drinks to warm up even the iciest drinks hearts.

Customers can enjoy a variety of dishes including ‘Holiday Cheer’ waffles with ice cream, chocolate sauce, chocolate orange pieces and popping candies, tasty turkeybrie and cranberry toasties and specialty drinks such as the ‘Strawberry Cindy-Lou Who’ milkshake and a mince pie iced latte.

The Grinch café has opened in Primark stores in Birmingham, Manchester Trafford, Manchester Market Street, CardiffBraehead and Edinburgh until the end of December.

After treating themselves to themed drinks and food, shoppers can check out Primark’s new Grinch-inspired range.

This follows McDonald’s releasing Grinch Happy Meals.

A History of The Grinch

THE Grinch is a character created by Dr. Seuss and first appeared in the 1957 children’s book, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!

The story features the Grinch, a lonely, grumpy creature who lives in a cave on top of Mount Crumpit.

The Grinch hates the Christmas spirit of the nearby Whos in Whoville and decides to “steal” Christmas by taking away their decorations, gifts and parties.

He youUltimately, he learns the true meaning of Christmas when the Whos celebrate despite their losses, causing his heart to grow three sizes.

The live-action adaptation starring Jim Carrey was released on November 17, 2000 and is today a Christmas classic.
