Boris JohnsonThe woman Carrie has welcomed their fourth child together.
Mrs. Johnson said that the couple was ‘beaten’ with their newborn baby daughter, called Poppy Eliza Josephine Johnson.
The former prime minister was depicted with a crib in the hospital, after her birth on May 21.
Poppy is the sister of Frank, Romy and Wilfred, who was born during the Covid lockdown in April 2020.
Romy was born in December 2021 and Frank in July 2023.
Announcing birth on InstagramMrs. Johnson said: ‘I can’t believe how beautiful and small you are. Feel so incredible happiness. We are all completely beaten.
She added: “I’m not sure if I have slept a minute since you were born if you can’t stop seeing how totally you are.”
Friends of the couple said they left the baby’s sex a surprise and expected a boy.

Mrs. Johnson posted this afternoon on Instagram to announce Poppy’s birth next to a series of photos and said she is their ‘last gang member’
Mrs. Johnson wrote: ‘Wilf, Romy and Frank are completely happy, especially Romy who was desperate to a little sister. Apply the matching dresses. ‘
In the main announcement, the baby wears a yellow baby growth and knitted sweater, chosen because the couple did not know if she would be a boy or a girl.
Mrs. Johnson also kept the pregnancy secretly secret. She gave birth in UCLH and thanked the ‘great’ pregnancy team in her social media post.
Mrs Johnson announced the baby name and wrote that her nicknames are ‘Pops, Pop Tart’. Her middle name Josephine was chosen after Carrie’s mother.
She also suggested that the baby would be the last one for her family and wrote: “A last gang member.”
She posted a sweet photo of Romy who held her sister, as well as a photo of Wilfred who stroked her head.
Mrs. Johnson also posted photos of a Pepperoni pizza and a bottle of Pina Colada cocktail, made by the ‘Lockdown Liquor & Co’.
She wrote: ‘Back from the hospital now and time for cocktails and pizza with my little baby who snoozing on my lap. Life doesn’t get better. ‘

Poppy was born on Wednesday at University College London Hospital and is the fourth child of the couple

The birth of Poppy comes after Mrs. Johnson was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia for almost a week in January of this year.
Posting when Mrs. Johnson wrote: ‘Hospital confirmed that I had flu and pneumonia. I was there for almost a week and I still have not recovered.
‘It can take a few more weeks until I feel again.
‘I did not expect to spend the first week of 2025 in the hospital. After having had a nasty breast infection for almost 18 days at home during Christmas, things just got out of hand and I had trouble breathing well. ‘
Mr. and Mrs. Johnson announced their engagement in February 2020 and welcomed their first child, Wilfred, on April 29 of that year.
The following year Mrs. Johnson gave birth to Romy on December 9 and their second son Frank was born on July 5, 2023.
The Johnsons called Wilfred after Mr Johnson’s grandfather. One of his middle names, Lawrie, is behind her own grandfather and the other, Nicholas, is behind a doctor who treated the former MP while fought against Covid in St. Thomas’ Hospital in London.
Their daughter Romy is named after Mrs. Johnson’s aunt Rosemary. Her middle name Iris is Greek for Rainbow and her third name Charlotte was a tribute to the deceased mother of Mr. Johnson.
Mrs. Johnson described Romy as their ‘Rainbow Baby’ after her miscarriage a year before she was born.
After the birth of Frank, Mrs. Johnson said: ‘Welcome to the world Frank Alfred Odysseus Johnson born on July 5 at 9.15 am. (Can you guess what name my husband has chosen?!) ”
