The mega-rich, fifty-year-old former financial worker grew up working class and lived with her parents on an industrial estate in the north of England.

And after achieving top grades at her O and A levels, she became the ‘first’ from her school to gain a place at the University of Cambridge, reports the Telegraph.

After university she got a job in banking, which allowed her to travel all over Europe, and in her early twenties she managed to get her first three-bed bed.

She said: “My employer offered a cheap mortgage as a perk, which protected me from high interest rates. This would now be completely unachievable without serious help from the Bank of Mum and Dad.”

After divorcing her first husband in her late 20s and earning her Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, she flew to the other side of the world and settled in New Zealand.

She said: “I took up the opportunity with my employer to move to New Zealand, I liked the country after previous holidays and it was very easy to make arrangements – although I was shocked by the cost of living.

“Absolutely everything seemed twice as expensive as in Britain.”

The woman subsequently married her second husband, and together they started their own business, which she said “took enormous effort” but was profitable.

And now the rich woman spends £20,000 a week on expenses, gets her hair done twice a week, eats out regularly and forks out thousands of dollars on first-class flights.

But even though she spends the huge amount in just seven days, she still lets her son wash her car.
