Boy, 17, obsessively listened to the same two lines of a Beatles song before killing his brother, 12, and parents on his father’s 51st birthday
A 17-year-old boy obsessively listened to the same two lines of a Beatles song before murdering his brother and parents on his father’s 51st birthday.
The boy, whose only name is Riccardo, brutally slaughtered his father, Fabio Chiarioni, his mother, Daniela Albano, 49, and his 12-year-old brother Lorenzo with an 8-inch kitchen knife in Paderno Dugnano, near Milan, Italy, on Sunday.
Riccardo chillingly told police he killed his family to “live more freely” after obsessively listening to the Beatles’ The Long and Winding Road in the days leading up to the killings, local media reported.
He said he heard the lyrics, “Many times I’ve been alone / And many times I’ve cried,” over and over again.
During the shocking attack, the teenager first punched his brother while he was sleeping. Lorenzo’s screams woke his parents, who then stormed into his bedroom.

Officers rushed to the family’s home after the teen called authorities and told them he had killed his father
The worried father, unaware that his eldest son was the attacker, screamed for help, only to be killed by his own flesh and blood.
“I stabbed my father while he was screaming at me to call for help,” the teenager confessed, according to Italian media Il Difforme.
He added: ‘I thought one stab would be enough to kill, but then I realised that wasn’t the case.’
The boy stabbed his father multiple times in the neck to kill him as quickly as possible, saying he didn’t want his family to “suffer.”
The boy also told investigators: ‘There is no real reason why I killed them. I felt like a foreign body in my family. Oppressed. I thought that by killing them all I would free myself from this discomfort.’
Riccardo also said he was thinking about going to Ukraine and fighting Russia.
According to local reports, the boy initially told authorities a fabricated story that he had seen his father kill his mother and brother, before grabbing a knife and stabbing his father.
The 17-year-old told detectives he entered his brother’s room on the second floor of the home and saw Chiarioni sitting on a chair with the knife next to him.
He told officers that his mother’s body was on the floor at his father’s feet and that his brother was lying dead in his bed before he began his attack on his father.
However, police were not convinced by the story as the boy showed no signs of a struggle on his body and the truth only came out during a second interrogation.
The teenager told investigators he felt “uncomfortable” within his family, and that these emotions came to light just hours after the family celebrated Chiarioni’s 51st birthday.
He also said he had been thinking about carrying out the killings for some time, reports The messenger.
Father Fabio Chiarioni, 51, was murdered by his son just hours after celebrating his 51st birthday
The teenager’s mother, Daniela Albano, 49, was found dead in her nightclothes in the room of her youngest son, who had also been murdered
The boy explained how he grabbed a large kitchen knife and attacked his brother around 2am on Sunday morning, stabbing him at least ten times.
He then brutally attacked his parents, who were also in his brother’s room. But his brother turned out to have the most stab wounds.
The teenager called authorities immediately after the brutal murder spree, telling Italian emergency services that he had stabbed his father to death.
The Sarda Union reported that after the attack the boy told authorities, “I killed my father, come on.”
When officers arrived at the family’s home, they found the 17-year-old boy lying on the sidewalk in his underwear and with his bare back covered in blood.
He reportedly held the blood-soaked knife in his hand until authorities arrived, at which point he dropped the knife to the ground.
Officers subsequently found the parents and brother dead in their nightclothes in the brother’s room.
Speaking to investigators during his confession, he said: ‘I realised it a minute later. I understood that it wasn’t by killing them that I was going to be released.’
According to a report by AnswerThe boy has now been arrested for his murder spree, after being questioned throughout Sunday by detectives led by Milanese juvenile prosecutor Sabrina Ditaranto.
According to sources within the judiciary, the motive behind the triple murder is still unclear.
“We will have to wait a long time before we can explain such a horrible gesture,” they said.
Ditaranto said at a press conference on Sunday: ‘The boy understood that he had done something irreversible, he expressed his own discomfort, not that of the family.
“From a legal point of view, we have no technically valid motive. From a sociological and psychological point of view, the investigations are of course open.”
Friends of the family and the mayor of Paderno Dugnano, Anna Varisco, reacted with shock to the news of the devastating killings.
“They were a normal, quiet family, without social services and everyone said they had no problems,” Varisco told the newspaper.
Neighbors described the family as quiet, affluent, hard-working people, they said. The messenger.
“They were a wonderful, happy family. It’s impossible, I don’t know what could have happened,” said the father of a classmate of the 17-year-old.
‘He went to school with my daughter, primary school and secondary school, we went on holiday together and a month ago I saw the father for the last time.
‘We used to have nice days together.’
