Norwood’s representatives told TMZ at the time, “We disagree and will make further comments after speaking with our lawyers.”

The housekeeper demanded back pay for the two lost days and $250,000 in damages.

It was the second lawsuit filed against Brandy in 2022. In January, Norwood was sued over a missing $45,000 ring she was supposed to wear to the American Music Awards in November.

The Boy is Mine singer and her stylist, Ashley Sean Thomas, were both named in the lawsuit by fashion designer and Beverly Hills studio owner Elle B. Mambetov.

It was alleged that Brandy and her stylist never returned the Dreamboule Big Bang Love Black Ring ring, which costs $44,200 on the designer’s website.

The accessory is an 18K rose gold polished with white diamonds with a sapphire crystal dome and a stunning contrast in the form of black volcanic stone.

According to the lawsuit, Mambetov claims Thomas told her the piece of jewelry was last seen on the piano at Brandy’s mansion in Calabasas.

One thing to note is that Brandy ended up not wearing the ring at the AMAs when she presented the award for Favorite Pop Album in which Taylor Swift won forever.

Since stylists often put together different combinations of outfits and jewelry for such high-profile events, it’s not uncommon for borrowed ensembles to be skipped.

Mambetov sued Brandy and Thomas for the value of her ring among other damages, claiming she suffered not only financial loss but also emotional trauma.

A representative for Thomas later gave TMZ a statement denying the allegations and that he “looks forward to presenting the facts in the proper forum.”
