BREAKING NEWS: Brian Robinson ‘was shot in the leg and hip’ in an attempted robbery in DC, leaving him in hospital…

Brian Robinson of the Washington Commanders was reportedly shot in the leg and hip in an attempted robbery on Sunday.

In a statement Sunday night, a DC Metro Police spokesman said the shooting happened just before 6:00 p.m. local time in the H Street Corridor near Ben’s Chili Bowl in the northeast of the city. The spokesperson added that they are looking for two minors in connection with the shooting.

Monday morning it was revealed that the 23-year-old was hit in both the leg and hip and the incident took place at Crab Boss, not Ben’s Chili Bowl, according to WTop News.

Just hours after the incident, Robinson’s Washington Commanders teammates returned to practice on Monday.

Fortunately, the 23-year-old did not sustain life-threatening injuries, with Washington coach Ron Rivera proverb he “will be back soon to do what he does best.”

However, Robinson’s position mates were on the practice field Monday, as running back coach Randy Jordan huddled his group before getting to work with quarterbacks, per The Washington Times.

Jordan holding the position group together is “normally not the case.”
