Bride, 26, found dead on the street during her honeymoon in Miami, just days after her wedding
A young bride was found dead on the street just days after her wedding during her dream honeymoon to Miami.
Aleksandra Leczycka, 26, tragically died of a suspected drug overdose or severe allergic reaction in the Florida city after traveling from Poland to celebrate with her husband, officials say.
Leczycka and her husband David Leczycki, of Siedlce, were married for just 23 days before the couple was found unconscious on the street in Miami.
But police were baffled at how the couple collapsed and how David became the sole survivor.
The pair had been stripped of cash and jewelry, local media reported, leading U.S. police to believe they had been doped up and robbed, Polish media recently reported.
But the tragic truth surrounding the bride’s death has now emerged following an investigation.
After examining evidence collected in Miami, police have now determined that the pair had voluntarily used psychoactive drugs.
The new bride suffered a severe allergic reaction or overdose, researchers in Poland said.

Hours before Leczycka died in August 2022, she posted photos of herself enjoying drinks and having fun on a beach in Miami.
Krystyna Golabek, public prosecutor of Siedlce, said: ‘By decision of October 23, 2024, the public prosecutor’s office in Siedlce closed the investigation into the case of Aleksandra L., whose death occurred on August 29, 2022, in Miami Beach, USA, discontinued. to the exposure of Dawid L. on the same date and at the same location to immediate danger of death or serious health damage.
“Extensive investigative measures have been carried out, including a request for legal assistance from the US side, which provided material from their investigation.
‘Expert advice in the field of computer science and toxicology was also obtained.’
Golabek added that their evidence suggested the couple had used drugs themselves, but they could not rule out that they had been involuntarily drugged.
The investigator added that none of their evidence confirmed police’s initial thoughts.
Leczycka and David married on August 6, 2022, but she died about three weeks later.
Her cause of death was determined on October 23, 2024, after a new investigation was opened.
Her husband has not publicly commented on the incident.
