Bride reveals £77 dress she found in very unexpected store and people are amazed
MANY brides know that finding their wedding dress can be one of the most expensive parts of the wedding.
However, one woman shared how she managed to buy her dream dress for just £77.
TikTok user @.dearelth told how she found the beautiful dress in an antique shop and that she had to buy it right away.
She said: “Two summers ago I found my wedding dress for $100 (£77) in an antique shop.
“I still can’t believe it, it’s not from this soil.”
The beautiful dress featured long, sheer sleeves and a lace bodice with a sweetheart neckline.
Meanwhile, the bottom of the dress featured a gorgeous A-line skirt.
Many people were amazed at her bargain and praised her for looking fantastic.
One of them said: “It should be illegal to look that heavenly.”
Another added: “It’s beautiful! What era do you think it’s from?
“The sleeves say 70s, but the bodice has a hint of 50s.”
Another said: “I’ve never been so jealous of someone in my life.”
And a fourth commented: “Okay but you should just do a gorgeous photoshoot with it now and not wait until a wedding because oh my god it’s so pretty and fits so well!”
Many people said it reminded them of fictional characters like Eloise Bridgerton or Nesta Archeron from the Court from the book series Thorns and Roses.
The woman certainly got a bargain, compared to what many people spend on a wedding dress.
The average British bride spends £155 on her and make-up and £1,350 for their wedding dress.
While the average cost of a wedding in 2023 was £20,700.
According to a American Express A study found that the average wedding guest spends around £1,000 on a wedding.
The biggest expense was on a wedding gift for the bride and groom, on which people spent an average of £217.90, followed by accommodation costs at an average of £203.90.
This was followed by £202.70 on childcare, £196.20 on travel expenses and £160.30 on outfits and accessories.
