They also include content creator Scarlet Vas, who tied the knot with her now husband Tayo Ricci in a showstopper of a wedding abroad.

The young duo – who are expecting a baby to join their little family – had an epic lovefest in Mykonos, Greece, where they got married in front of crystal clear waters on a sunny day.

The lavish party included a night of drunken dancing, breathtaking fireworks and emotional speeches as they shared words of love.

But while the ceremony would undoubtedly bring a tear to their loved ones, people came to Scarlet on Instagram for the same thing: her wedding dress.

For the special day – which reportedly cost an astronomical $500,000 or £385,000 – Scarlet had chosen to wow the guests with a very sheer tulle dress, with a thigh-high slit and a busty display.

The maxi dress, which she bought from a bridal shop in Los Angeles, US, also featured sparkling white floral details and a veil – which flew away as she made the grand entrance down the aisle.

For the shoes, Scarlet paired the look with silver open-toe stilettos and sexy underwear that poked through the thin material.

Sharing the epic wedding her pageScarlet further wrote the nu-viral video: ”POV: You’ve been waiting all your life to get married in Mykonos.

”My veil fell off at my 500,000 wedding…” she chuckled in the caption, before keyboard warriors flocked to shame her outfit.

Among the 6.3 million viewers, hundreds were embarrassed by the choice of clothing, with one saying the bride walked around virtually naked.

“You’re barely wearing any clothes anyway sis,” the Instagram user wrote.

”Girl, what are you wearing? Have some dignity,” a second critic criticized the dark-haired beauty.

“She got married in her underwear,” a third joked about the “tacky” dress.

“It’s true when they say money can’t buy class,” wrote one ruthless troll.

Wedding dress trends 2024

Sophie Creed, bridal designer and founder of bridal brand e&w Couture, shared this year’s most popular wedding dress designs.

Sustainable chic

Bridal fashion in 2024 is embracing a powerful shift towards sustainability, with brides looking closely at what fabrics are used to make the dresses.

Many brides also want to wear a second-hand dress or a vintage number.

Boho bliss

The bohemian aesthetic is effortless and relaxed elegance – ideal for relaxed weddings. Whether in the garden, on the beach or under the stars, the boho trend is also great for nature-inspired weddings.

Couples opting for outdoor locations and bohemian-inspired dresses with flowing silhouettes, floral lace and whimsical details that blend in with the natural surroundings. It’s about bringing the romance of the outdoors into the wedding wardrobe.

Bohemian style dresses often feature vintage-inspired lace, flowing sleeves and ethereal details that stand the test of time.

Satin elegance

Satin wedding dresses capture the hearts of brides who appreciate the combination of modern simplicity and classic luxury.

This trend suits weddings that prioritize an elegant, sophisticated aesthetic, making it an ideal choice for formal parties, chic city weddings or any event where the bride presents herself in a dress that exudes sophistication and grace.

Daring romance

Oversized and strikingly modern show a shift in bridal fashion.

This trend is for the bride who dares to be different, breaks away from tradition and embraces a vibrant, contemporary aesthetic on the most important day of her life.

Others, meanwhile, thought it was in poor taste of Scarlet to reveal the alleged eye-watering amounts of money the couple spent on the day.

“It’s a bit tasteless to mention the costs of your wedding.”

Scarlet has yet to respond to the harsh comments – and it seems she has more important things to focus on as the couple recently announced they are expecting ‘baby Ricci’.

It is said that the little toddler will join the new family around Christmas.
