Brits love Laneige lip mask dupes in an unlikely store that will save you £103
BEAUTY lovers have unlocked another designer dupe at their local supermarket.
Eagle-eyed shoppers have spotted dupes from iconic Korean beauty brand Laneige on the shelves in the run-up to Christmas.
And they’re perfect for taking care of your pout when the harsh winter weather arrives.
The best part? If you take the brunt, you’ll save a whopping £103.
Chapped lips are so common in winter because the cold air and indoor heating suck moisture from the environment.
Unlike the rest of our skin, lips don’t have oil glands to keep them naturally hydrated, making them dry out more quickly.
Strong winds can also irritate the delicate skin of our lips, aggravating the problem.
Many of us instinctively lick our lips when they feel dry, but saliva evaporates quickly and leaves them even drier.
Dehydration also plays a role, because people tend to drink less water in the winter.
Meet the dupes
Asda is the supermarket that stocks Laneige dupes.
The Perfect Your Pout Scented Lip Mask Set costs £4 for three 8g jars.
It comes with grapefruit, candy, and berry flavors.
These colorful tubs are copycats for the Laneige Lip Sleeping Masks, which cost £21 per tub.
The thick, buttery texture of Laneige’s masks feels luxurious, but not overly sticky – and a little bit of the product goes a long way.
Beauty enthusiasts claim the same goes for Asda’s Perfect Your Pout range, with shopper Danielle Strong confirming on Facebook: “They are beautiful.”
If you’re looking for an all-day rather than overnight solution, Asda’s Give Me Lip Lip Care Set costs £4 for three 10ml lip balms.
Best Beauty Dupes
Fabulous’ Beauty Editor, Tara Ledden revealed the cheaper version of your favorite beauty products you should have in your cupboard.
“According to new research from Elf Cosmetics, a whopping 55% of us would like to spend less on our beauty routines, so it’s no wonder there are millions of #dupe videos on Tiktok.
“While some dupes are easy to spot because of their appearance, they often fall short when it comes to content.
“In fact, some of the best dupes look nothing like the luxury product they’re a dead ringer for — and trust me, they’re the ones you want.”
REAL: Benefit Hoola Matte Bronzer, £32.50 DUPE: Natural Collection Bronzer, £3.50, which is a saving of £29. The Natural Collection Bronzer is available in more shades, although there is no mirror in the compact.
REAL: Hydro-Grip Primer for Milk Makeup, £35 DUPE: Elf Power Grip primer, £10. These two share a similar green hue and the same long-lasting, mattifying properties – although Elf’s is so popular it’s just as difficult to come by.
REAL: Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lipstick, £28 DUPE: L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Satin Lipstick Beige A Now, £8.99. The shades of these two lipsticks are almost identical on the lips, although Charlotte Tilbury’s is matte, but the L’Oréal Paris Lipstick has a satin finish – which actually makes it more comfortable if you wear it all day.
REAL: Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation, £40 DUPE: Lasting Perfection Matte Foundation Collection, £6.99. While they don’t look the same from the outside, the formula, consistency, and staying power of both foundations are quite similar — unfortunately, the collection only comes in 20 shades versus Estee Lauder’s 60 options.
REAL: Shinier Boys Brow, £20 DUPE: Essence Make Me Brow Gel, £2.50. There’s an entire Reddit thread dedicated to this dupe, so you know it has to be good. They both have a waxy consistency and added fibers to make brows look fuller. I have to say the color range at Boy Brow is much better, but if you are brunette there are plenty of Essence color options to try.

These tinted tubes are dupes for the £16 Laneige Lip Glowy Balms.
Overall, shoppers who buy Asda’s six products will save themselves an eye-watering £103.
“They are totally luxurious,” Karen Ingle reviewed on Facebook.
“I swear by this in the winter,” Sarah Prance joked.
