Bruce Highway was closed in both directions after a horror crash that left two people dead
A 13-year-old boy and a 40-year-old woman have been killed in a horror crash on the Bruce Highway.
Police believe a semi-trailer traveling south struck the rear of two trucks near the intersection of Ragland Station Road in the Gladstone region of Central Queensland about 11.11pm on Tuesday.
The highway was closed in both directions as the Forensic Crash Unit investigated the circumstances of the collision.
The woman and teenage boy, who were traveling in one of the utes, died at the scene.
The driver, a 42-year-old man, and another passenger in that vehicle, a 15-year-old boy, were taken to Rockhampton Base Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver and passenger of the other car suffered minor injuries.
For light vehicles there is a detour through the municipality of Raglan.
