An avid bargain hunter took to the popular money-saving Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK to be enthusiastic about the find.

She stopped by outlet store Choice Home to purchase the Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser for the attractive price of £55.

That might sound like a lot, but the popular gadgets normally cost £99.95, meaning she could buy them for almost half the price.

The appliance is designed to make the perfect hot chocolate, but you can of course also use it to make your other hot or cold drinks that little bit tastier.

According to Hotel Chocolat, it only takes 2.5 minutes for the magic to work.

“Designed to be as beautiful as the drink it makes, the Velvetiser is aesthetically designed to complement any kitchen and precision engineered for effortless use. Simply add milk, sprinkle in a single-serving sachet, press the button and pour 2.5 minutes later,” the website reads.

“The clever design ensures that pouring with both the right and left hand is smooth and seamless.

“And the Velvetiser is quick to use and even quicker to clean – simply remove the whisk and rinse the non-stick coating with water. It’s not dishwasher safe, but that will only slow you down,” the product description continues.

Homebase the big sale and its legacy

After sharing their bargain on Facebook, other buyers wanted to get their hands on one before they all sold out.

“Great price, well done,” someone commented on the post.

A second agreed: “That’s really cheap.”

Meanwhile, someone else pointed out that customers can also buy the gadget more cheaply directly from Hotel Chocolat if they sign up for a 12-month subscription to the sachets.

“I love mine, I ordered it for £50. If you have one delivered every month for 12 months, it will cost £50,” they said.

Others indicated that they had never heard of Choice Home, but would definitely like to visit.

“I’ve never heard of Choice before but it’s a great machine, I love it,” said one.

Meanwhile, others were stunned by the deal, especially one customer who paid full price for her gadget.

“Jesus, I actually got robbed,” she joked.

“Get one myself, but I don’t think they’re worth the money. A cheaper one will do exactly the same job,” said another.
