Caitlin Clark will miss at least two weeks Wnba action with a left -hand quad -stem, the Indiana Fever has announced.
The news will come as a devastating blow to the WNBA, whose reviews depend on a fit and healthy Clark – by far the biggest name in the competition.
It is not yet clear how serious the injury is, whereby the declaration of the fever only revealed that it would miss at least two weeks.
Further updates, the team added, “will be provided, as available, after re -evaluation.”
It is also unknown how Clark sustained the injury, with her finish of the loss of 90-88 on Saturday for the New York Liberty seemingly unharmed.
The fever are four games in the new season and Clark has been the core of the action and is already involved in the next chapter of her rivalry with Angel Reese.

However, that will be put on hold for the time being, with Clark probably missing at least four games – including the next confrontation with Reese in Chicago on 7 June.
Indiana Play on Wednesday against the Mystics, before organizing the sun and mystics. They are then on the road in the sky, before the potential return of Caitlin on 10 June against Atlanta Dream.
The Quad -Stam is the first injury that Clark suffered in her young WNBA career, in which she was crowned Rookie of the Year last season.
From an Indiana Fever on-Court Perspective, the news will come a blow to the team, given their 2-2 record, even with their superstar player.
Furthermore, the news of Clark’s absence, however, is a huge problem for the WNBA, whose reviews through the roof are purely because of the arrival of the fever star in the competition.
A recent study showed that Clark was responsible for 26.5 percent of all WNBA economic activity in 2024, according to Sports Illustrated.
This includes income from merchandise, ticket sales and television rights.
For the 2025 season, Ryan Brewer, a financial expert and assistant professor of Finance at Indiana University-Columbus, is of the opinion that Clark could force that number to grow even further.
‘If things just go the way they were, and we have an extensive season of 22 home games with modest inflation, I look at $ 875 [million]’Brewer NBC News told.
“And I could easily see that this year a billion dollars will darken the economic impact of Caitlin Clark.”
