CAPFs reaffirm commitment to 10% quota for ex-agnives at police level | India News – Times of India
NEW DELHI: Amid the debate over Activate Scheduleheads of different Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) came forward to reiterate their commitment to implementation 10% quota for ex-Agniveers in everything agent level messagesin which he argued that the armed forces would benefit from trained and disciplined manpower.
A series of videos in which the Director Generals of CRPF, BSF, CISF, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) reveal that arrangements have been made to give Agniveers a 10% quota in CAPFs after completion of their four-year stint in the armed forces, were put up on ‘X’ on Thursday. The DGs in these videos list the relaxations that have already been incorporated for ex-Agniveers by amending the recruitment rules for each of the CAPFs. These include their exemption from the mandatory physical efficiency test and age relaxation of five years for the first batch of ex-Agniveers and three years for the subsequent batch.
“All arrangements have been made to recruit ex-Agniveers into CRPF. Agniveers will prove to be an asset as they have gained discipline during their stint in the army. From day one, we will have trained and disciplined personnel,” CRPF DG Anish Dayal Singh said.
BSF DG Nitin Agrawal said, “We are preparing soldiers, nothing can be better than that. All troops will benefit from this. Ex-Agniveers will get 10% reservation in recruitment.”
“Union Home Ministry has taken a big step by recruiting ex-Agniveers into the Central Armed Police Forces. In this regard, CISF has also made all arrangements,” CISF DG Nina Singh said.
According to SSB DG Daljit Singh, the first batch of SSB has also reserved 10% of the police vacancies for ex-Agniveers.
RPF DG Manoj Yadava said, “RPF is very excited to welcome Ex Agniveers. It will infuse new strength, energy and boost the morale of the force.”
