Cara Delahoyde is ranting about husband Nathan’s new annoying school dad hobby
SOME hobbies are cooler than others, and as far as Cara Delahoyde-Massey is concerned, her husband’s new pastime is quite annoying.
The 34-year-old appeared in the second series of Love Island and won with now husband Nathan Massey, but it hasn’t been all glam since.
The couple now have two children together, Freddie and Delilah, and have well and truly settled into father and mother life.
In the podcast The School Runway, which she co-hosts with celebrity stylist Bronagh Meere, the former reality star said Nathan recently brought his father along energy to another level when he started a new hobby.
“He is in a school father’s padel group,” she explained in a recent episode.
“They go every week and they can never let each other down because if they let each other down, one of them can’t play.

“It’s this whole thing and it really irritates me,” she added.
The game is similar to tennis and is played doubles on a courtbut in true dad fashion, Nathan takes the game very seriously, Cara revealed.
But Nathan isn’t the only one in the family who has taken up some unique hobbies, as Cara explained that her children also participate in a host of after-school clubs.
Recently her daughter went to an after-school circus club.
“She now makes hoops, silk and the garland, and she absolutely loves it because she’s so flexible, she’s so good at it,” she explained.
Meanwhile, her son Freddie loved rugby, she explained, but he “fell out of love with it.”
“I’m one of these moms who are like [the kids] “If they say they don’t want to go, I’ll let them go for a few more weeks to be sure,” she added.
The mother’s busy life wasn’t always something Cara saw herself getting so involved in, at least not at first.
She previously revealed she “went into a spiral” when she said goodbye to her glamorous life on Love Island after the birth of her first child.
Cara and Nathan welcomed their first child, Freddie, in 2017, not long after winning the show.
She described him as a “happy mistake” but said she was 27 at the time, which she believed was too young to have a child.
“If I had my time again, I wouldn’t start having children until I was 30,” she told the Made By Mammas podcast.
Cara revealed that after she became pregnant, she went into a spiral after learning she would have to leave her glamorous bikini-wearing lifestyle behind.
“I felt quite lost for a while,” she said.
Cara said she had to mute a lot of people on Instagram because she was upset when she saw photos of people looking all glamorous at events.
However, she revealed that one day she had an “epiphany”.
“I thought, why am I trying to compete with all these people, because that’s not where I am in my life,” she said.
During her pregnancy with Freddie, now 7, Cara and Nathan split because Cara felt lonely after moving to Essex, and she said Nathan didn’t understand her.
However, she said it was the best thing that ever happened to them.
She said they had only stayed together for work and had argued a lot.
Cara felt like the baby had come to her for a reason and was determined to keep the baby, even if it meant doing it alone.
However, after a baby scan, the pair slept together and decided to secretly get back together.
Since then, the couple hasn’t looked back and tied the knot in 2019.
A year later, in 2020, they welcomed a daughter named Delilah.
