In an interview with The School Runway podcast, the former reality star said she plans to move to Portugal soon. next summer with her family.

The mother of two said she is “so done with this country” and wants a better life for her children.

“It’s not just any place,” says Cara, explaining that the fact that Nathan already has family there helped them make the decision to move.

“I know it’s not completely safe anywhere and it’s not idyllic anywhere,” she continued, but she did note that Nathan’s cousins felt very safe there as teenagers.

“It’s not like here, where you’re afraid to let your kids go outside,” she said.

The mother confessed that after visiting this summer, they are already planning another trip for November to check out schools and other neighborhoods.

The family originally stayed with a friend when they came to visit and liked the house so much that they decided they wanted to settle there.

“It’s just a nicer lifestyle because the weather is better all year round. They can come home from school and not play Fortnite and go out instead,” she added.

For Cara, the move is a step away from the spotlight, having previously revealed that she was on a downward spiral from her glamorous Love Island life after the birth of her first child.

Cara and Nathan welcomed their first child, a son named Freddie, in 2017, shortly after winning the show.

She described it as a “happy mistake” but said she was 27 at the time, which she felt was too young to have a child.

“If I had to do it over again, I wouldn’t start having kids until I was 30,” she said on the Made By Mammas podcast.

Cara said she went into a downward spiral after becoming pregnant, finding she had to leave her glamorous bikini-wearing lifestyle behind.

“I felt quite lost for a while,” she said.

Cara shared that she had to mute a lot of people on Instagram because she found it annoying to see photos of people looking so beautiful at events.

However, she said that one day she had an “epiphany.”

“I thought, why am I trying to compete with all these people? That’s not where I’m at in my life,” she said.

During her pregnancy with Freddie, who is now 7, Cara and Nathan split. Cara felt lonely after moving to Essex and said Nathan didn’t understand her.

However, she said that this was the best thing that ever happened to them.

She said they only stayed together for work and that they fought a lot.

Cara felt that the baby had come to her for a reason and was determined to keep the baby, even if it meant doing so alone.

However, after a baby scan, the two slept together and secretly decided to get back together.

Since then, the couple has never regretted it and in 2019 they got married.

A year later, in 2020, they welcomed a daughter named Delilah.

How easy is it to move to Europe after Brexit?

After Brexit, it will no longer be so easy to move from the UK to Europe.

British citizens now need to apply for a visa to live and work in most EU countries, meaning there are more steps and paperwork involved than when the UK was still a member of the EU.

According to Advance MovesPeople considering moving to Spain from the UK in 2025 will need to apply for a visa to live in Spain after Brexit.

Currently, you can stay in Portugal for a maximum of 90 days in any 180-day period. After that, you must leave the EU zone.

You can then come back again once the remaining 180 days have passed.

While this may be fine if you’re staying in a holiday home during the colder winter months, permanent residence requires a visa, experts warn.
