Caroline Springs stabbing: Teen fights for life after stabbing outside CS Square shopping centre

A teenager has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after he was allegedly stabbed near a shopping centre.

The alleged incident took place on Thursday near the CS Square Shopping Centre in Caroline Springs in Melbourne’s west.

Police were called to Lake Street, near the shopping center, at 5:15 p.m. after a report of a stabbing.

When the police arrived, the suspects had already left.

The teenager, who died around the 1800s, suffered stab wounds to his hand and body and was rushed to the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

Police described the teenager’s injuries as “life-threatening.”

“Detectives are still trying to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and inquiries are ongoing, but it is believed the offenders have left the area,” Victoria Police said in a statement.

“A man was taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital by ambulance with serious upper body injuries,” an Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said.

Detectives and uniformed police officers remained on the scene until the evening.
