Carrie Bickmore has shared some major family news on social media.
The 43-year-old radio and TV star took to Instagram on Monday to announce that her son Oliver had turned 17 and was on his way to getting his pilot’s license.
The mother of two posted a slideshow of images of “Ollie” in the cockpit, as well as two versions of a cake Carrie baked herself depicting the plane he trained in.
In the caption, she joked that her baking skills were “boring,” before sharing her improved second attempt at placing a model airplane on top of a baked cake roll.
One of the first reactions to the post came from Carrie’s radio co-host and alleged lover Tommy Little.
“But where’s the cake?! All I see is the real world and a huge plane,” joked the 39-year-old comedian, who is also a licensed pilot.
Fans were stunned by Oliver’s news, with one writing: ‘OMG, amazing!’
“How exciting, my 56 year old brother got his driver’s license at 16 and has never regretted it,” wrote another.
