Channel 10 star Narelda Jacobs and wife Karina Natt reveal they are expecting their first child
Channel 10 star Narelda Jacobs has revealed she is expecting her first child with wife Karina Natt.
While on Instagram on Thursday at the beach, the couple dropped their baby bomb during an announcement about an upcoming book launch.
“We have some exciting news,” a bikini-clad Narelda, 48, told the camera before Karina, 39, added: “We’re having a book baby.”
Narelda then revealed that the couple was expecting.
“Oh, and we’re also having a human baby, due out next year,” she said.
The newsreader and the political advisor then shared a kiss.

One follower called it “the announcement of THE YEAR!!!” among many other congratulations.
‘The family just keeps growing. This is the best news ever and how lucky you are to have two amazing moms,” one fan wrote.
Brittany Higgins also extended her well wishes to the expectant mothers, calling it “the most wonderful news I’ve heard in a long time.”
“Congratulations to both of you!” the former Liberal staffer added.
Other big names participated, including Bindi Irwin.
‘CONGRATULATIONS!!! What great news!’ wrote the Wildlife Warrior.
‘YAY!!’ added Simone Holznagel.
In addition to their pregnancy news, the couple also revealed their ‘satirical picture book for adults’ had been picked up by publisher University Of Queensland Press (UQP).

The book is called If Queers Weren’t Meant To Have Kids and Narelda took to Instagram, also on Thursday, to share UQP’s announcement about the upcoming book.
The statement said the book contains “a series of double-page spreads that all begin with the question of whether gay people were not supposed to have children.”
‘The answers include: ‘why do lesbians nest after a week’ and ‘why are handsome gay men called daddies.’
Narelda and Karina added in the statement that they wouldn’t let “homophobes” steal their “baby joy.”
“Like all expectant queer parents, we’re prepared for homophobic backlash, but there’s no way the naysayers are going to ruin our baby joy,” they said.
‘So we came up with a plan to show how natural it is for gays to have children. Our adult picture book is a celebration of love and chosen family.”
The couple tied the knot in a fun ceremony in Sydney in early August, just 18 months after their first date.
Jacobs appeared to be having an absolute ball in images shared to Instagram as he was surrounded by friends, family and celebrity guests.

The two said “yes” in front of a floral arch placed in front of a large window in what appeared to be a top-floor location.
Narelda and her new wife each opted for white ensembles, with the TV star choosing a fitted dress with fur accents from Australian luxury label Zhivago.
Celebrity guests included MasterChef Australia star Melissa Leong and celebrity chef Kylie Kwong.
Also in attendance were comedian Luke McGregor and his wife Dr. Amy Thunig-McGregor.
Natt is the chief of staff to South Australian Greens senator Sarah Hanson-Young.
Jacobs previously had a long-term relationship with filmmaker Stevie Cruz-Martin.
Although it is unclear when Jacobs and Cruz-Martin split, the film and television director now appears to be living in London.
She debuted her new romance in an Instagram post in early 2023, sharing a photo of the two women kissing during Sydney World Pride celebrations.
