Insta360 may have been closely driven the 360-camera market in recent times, but it is threatened by one Rumors Dji Osmo 360 And now a surprising access to the market, the new Akaso 360.
Akaso is a proven alternative to leading action cameramen such as GoPro, Insta360 and DJIWith an impressive line-up of cheap models. Now it has entered the 360-camera room with the Akaso 360, and it is super impressive for the money-viewing our in-depth Akaso 360 Review.
The whole new 360 camera makes a fresh 5.7k video with a total of 360 degrees coverage through its double lenses, complete with the software Smarts that we expect from the Dear 360 CamerasSuch as seamless stitching and removal of selfie stick.
Perhaps what is the most impressive, however, the price with which the Akaso 360 enters the market – it is so cheaper than any other current model.
Lowering the beam for 360 camera prices, but is the Akaso 360 the best value?
The launch price for the AKASO 360 starts at only $ 199.99 / £ 199.99 / AUS329.99 for the standard combination, or $ 249.99 / £ 249.99 / AU $ 399.99 for the maker Combo, those two extra batteries, a battery seal and a 120 cm Selfie -Stick.
For the price there will be no other 360 camera nearby – the Insta360 X5 is more than double, while the GoPro Max (2025) Is around $ 150 / £ 150 / AU $ 200 more (and that follows a new price point of the original Max model from 2019, which was a similar price like the X5).
But only because the Akaso 360 is the cheapest model available, do you have to get it?
The comparison between the AKASO 360 and Insta360 X5 is hardly fair – the latter is the best 360 camera on the market, and it beats the Akaso model in almost every respect, including being 8k Video and little light image quality.
The twin lenses of the X5 can also be changed in the event of damage, with cheap replacement lenses available. In the long term, this function alone can make better value than each Other 360 camera. Finally break a lens while recording with another model, which is a likely possibility for filming outdoor activities, and the entire camera needs an expensive repair or replacement. Not so with the X5.
For functions and performance, however, I think the older Insta360 X3 is the nearest Akaso 360 -rival.
It does not help Akaso that it unveiled its first 360 camera during the first day week, at a time when there are huge price reductions for the X3. You can Insta360 x3 for $ 249.99 at Amazon US (original price $ 449.99), or £ 259.99 at Amazon UK (original price £ 459.99) or on the Insta360 -Winkel For the same price, available with other bundles.
The X3 is still a bit more expensive, but I think it has the lead on the Akaso 360 in two ways. First, it is watertight up to 33ft / 10m, while the Akaso model is not, and secondly the X3 also shoots too HDR video.
If your wallet extends that little further, the X3 deal is excellent value. Otherwise the cameras are quite similar, and if the two points above do not turn you off the new AKASO model, then a full price Akaso 360 is still excellent value. It is a super impressive 360 camera for the money.
