Chelsea has asked Jadon Sancho to agree to a new contract before completing a transfer of £ 25 million, according to reports.
The international of England, 25, spent the 2024-25 season on loan at Stamford Bridge of Old Trafford.
Chelsea has an obligation of £ 25 million to buy Sancho in the summer transfer window.
However, they have a fine of £ 5 million to break out of the deal and escape from the obligation.
Now Sky Sports News Report that the blues are in negotiations with the representatives of the winger about his future.
Chelsea probably wants Sancho to remain in West London.
However, Sky claims that they will only sign him if he agrees to fit the wage structure in the club.
Sancho earns no less than £ 350,000 a week in United, which he still takes for a year at his current deal.
But part of the Todd Boehly regime signs players with relatively low wages.
Star-Man Cole Palmer is at £ 130,000 a week.
And such as Nicolas Jackson, Robert Sanchez, Noni Madueke, Malo Gusto and Romeo Lavia are all at £ 65,000 a week or less.
Sancho has fought with people like Madueke and Pedro Neto for a starting point on the wing under Enzo Maresca.
He managed five goals and ten assists in 41 performances in all competitions for the blues.
His three Premier League goals came against Southampton, Tottenham and Ipswich – who finished 20th, 17th and 19th respectively.
However, he scored the murderous goal in the final of the Conference League, which came from the bank to curl home to bring the score to 3-1 and bring the game to bed against real betis.
