According to Turkish media, a bloody family feud between the Kurdish families of the 54-year-old suspect, who ran a kebab shop in Germany, and the 27-year-old victim was the reason for the attack.

The victim is said to have murdered a businessman in Antalya, Turkey, in May of this year, whom he held responsible for the murder of his brother in 2016. He then fled to Germany.

According to Turkish media, the businessman’s uncle tracked down the 27-year-old and killed him at the train station as an act of revenge.

Police caught the shooter a few meters away from the crime scene on a nearby platform and arrested him without resistance.

The murder weapon, a pistol, was later found during a search of the station.
