Eagle-Eyed Shoppers have seen the Crispello, with a mix of waffle and chocolate, for sale for 49p at B&M.

When the bar was originally launched in 2012, it marked the first new option of the confectionary Giant since the 1990s.

It was made by Cadbury after research research, at the time that the annual sale of a few chocolate bars had fallen by around 6.6 percent in a market with a value of around £ 800 million a year.

The Crispello, who has 165 calories, compared to about 230 for a Mars-bar, was aimed at women in an attempt to recover the lost sale of the food conscious.

It was reported that Cadbury, owned by the American food company Kraft, believed that the Crispello would therefore rely on women who are concerned about the arrival.

Sold under the slogan ‘A small treat for you’, the launch was supported with a £ 7 million advertising campaign.

However, since 2016 the bars were only available abroad, which means that fans of the treat had to pay a premium to buy the treats on foreign food websites.

A Cadbury spokesperson added: ‘The mix of waffle and chocolate is a lighter way to eat chocolate and we know from experience that women are attracted to this specific size.

“It will also appeal to women because it is in three separate parts, so that they can consume something at the same time instead of in one go.”
